    Hi there,

I feel exactly the same as you if it's any consolation!! We've only been ttc for a short time, but it really can mess with you can't it.

don't worry - i think we all feel like this.

Shelly - i started taking a daily supplement which has folic acid in it and i take it every day. Didn't occur to me to stop during AF.

thank you so much...i feel like i'm going completely crazy, thank god i won't be alone when they come to take me away...haha

hi, if feel really stupid saying this but:
me and my dh have been ttc for a couple of months now.
    i'm stressed,
    tired,
    convinced i am,
    then convinced i'm not,
    terrified it'll never happen,
    getting symptoms,
    wanting to cry quite often,
then when af arrives, count the days till we can try again!
is this normal, or should i go get some prozac???

ok, next question: how do i forget about it, so i can live a relatively normal life???

Give yourself a time limit for going to the GP, and try not to get too worked up in the meantime. If it's any consolation, most women DO get pg naturally within 6 months - those of us who need help are in the (vocal!) minority.;)

I found the first 5/6 months the most difficult, once I sought help and accepted that I'd need it, I was much calmer.

    Hugs

Along with a fertilityscore kit for OH as he's curious, and he feels left out of all my testing I'm doing for ovulation, and wants some sort of test to do himself so he feels involved lol!

Honeypop - hope you haven't order the fertility score kit yet!! I ordered one for DH as well & TBH, wished I bought fertell instead! I read everywhere & it says it tests for sperm count as well as motility but when the product came, I couldn't see how the test tube, funnel + water cup could test for motility!

I didn't get Fertell coz found a company that sold fertilityscore kit for £14.99 & most websites says it does test for motility. I would pay that extra £10-15 for Fertell if I knew.

Aaarrgh! Yes I have ordered it already. Hmmm will have to wait and see when it comes but it did say this:

"FertilityScore is Europes most advanced home sperm test kit and is the only male home fertility test to check both COUNT& MOTILITY on the WHOLE sperm sample with proven accuracy and reliability....FertilityScore's ability to differentiate motile from non-motile sperm is a unique feature of these kits."

If it doesn't test for motility when it says on the website it does, I shall be asking for a refund as that's what I based my decision to buy on!

To be honest I'm not sure about relying on the results from any home kit for OH, and I think he'll see the doctor about it anyway when 12 months of TTC is up.

Well it's our fertile time starting in the next couple of days, and OH has been having, shall we say, a burst of energy this past week. Hope he keeps it up! It's so much easier when at least one of you is raring to go...

I figured out that if I get pregnant now I'll definately still have to teach the class next year I was hoping to avoid. Gutted. Oh well, the following class is going to be hard too, maybe I'll get some time off those.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

I bought it for 2 reasons. It says it tests motility & cheaper than fertell. Had another look at instructions & it doesn't mention motility anywhere!

It came with 2 test tubes, 2 funnels, colour dye + water cup. Basically, you collect the sperm in the funnel, leave it for 30mins, then drop colour dye, close test tube, shake hard & wait 1hr to see the change in colour. Compare the change of colour to colour chart. The colour chart didn't even say what the difference in colours means! Only have a + & - section! I didn't bother complaining as its only £15 ie £7.50 p/test & DH was in the "testing mood". DH's sample came out in the + region.

Actually, come to think about it again, perhaps testing the motility part is when you see how much sperm drops from the funnel to test tube ie wait 30mins using the colour dye.... which is why people recommend lifting legs, put a pillow under your bum & wait for 15mins so the little fella can swim to your tube!!

But, I still don't see how it test motility compares to fertell which uses a button that you press to release chemical solution into sperm swim up chamber. I'm might get the fertell test if I don't get my BFP this month as DH dislike going to doctors. Whatever you decide, have fun testing!! ;) I had to help DH to get started :D

slobbs, you will do fine. Take it easy. My 77yr old nan told me 2yrs ago to eat well, stay healthy & not stress ie give up work if I must when I'm ready TTC. Her opinion is woman gets too much stress from work these days. Hence, so many have miscarriage!! So, it's vital to stay healthy, not stress & be happy. That was her advice to me. We are all TTC here & this is my 2nd mth but I know how frustrating it can be to not get what we want. Be happy & don't put too much pressure on yourself. Take JS OH advice - TTC for x mths & if it still hasn't happen or if time is running out, seek help. Remember, you are not the only one going "crazy" here. We all are! :D

    that sounds good advice static.

i'm on day 24 of 28 day cycle, and desperately holding off till Friday to test. Was convinced earlier that i was pg - now really not so sure. B**Bs have settled down and not had anymore cramps. Just a waiting game now ;)

Hope that everyone else is doing well - sprinkling baby dust for you all x
