  • hi again.

sorry to hear AF is trying to appear Annie, but good luck to you Osian and Luwcas.

that's me of the pill now and I think I have the whole cycle thing worked out - keeping careful note in my diary to work out what my personal cycle does.

Have to say though - it's weird. DH and I haven't even tried since i came off the pill - i think we are both terriffied in an odd way IYKWIM. Scary change if it happens, yet scary worry if it doesn't.

The advice on here though is invaluable - I haven't yet found a book as good as you lot! - Thanks x

Well, still not pregnant, still not on my period. To be honest, I'm getting kinda bored with this. Doctors will be open on Tuesday so I'll make an appointment then. I've got a party tonight so I guess I'll allow myself a drink but I won't go overboard just incase. Wish something would happen either way...

Congrats to the ttc graduates! Nice to have a reminder that it does happen. Has your AF arrived now Annie? Hope you're feeling ok.

Hi Jiblets - yup, AF is definitely here now. I'm actually a bit relieved - disappointed I'm not pregnant, but relieved that AF seems normal, so I can look forward to trying again. I hope your doc can help/reassure you. I can imagine how fed up you are with the situation. Hope you have a good time at the party - you deserve a break for all this!

Congratulations to those of you who have achieved that magical line! hope to be joining you very soon!

Osian, my first test was so faint that i could only see it if I held it up to the light and even then I wasn't 100% sure that it was a line. Just keep testing every day using 1st morning wee.
    Congrats lovinit!
Good luck next cycle to everyone else.
Hope all goes well with GP on thursday Jiblets. If I were you, i'd use the ovulation sticks this month to see when ovulation is. Someone mentioned they were cheap on amazon. If u start testing today and carry on til u get a +ve? I tried the BBT and was lost the 1st month, also the BBT only tells u after you have ovulated. Have a lovely party tonight!!

Hi Shelly - I'm not sure - some sort of shadow comes up before the allocated time (I set a timer just now to do it) and it seems to come up with a more definitate pink shadow as it dries later. I was wondering is it an evaporation line though? - but on the tests I have done in the past (when not pregnant) I have not seen one.

Try to wait a few days and do another test. The dark pink line as the test dries, sounds like you say, an evaporation line. Having said that if there is a line at all after the waiting time then I'd say its a positive. Usually tests will say on them "Do not read the test before X minutes or after X minutes" If you have a line in between those times then congrats!

Lovinit.....congrats!!! :T :j Hope all goes well for you.

jiblets. Try not to worry about missing an AF. I know its a pain in the backside when you are TTC as I have missed a few in the few years we have been trying but theres nothing you can do about it. Enjoy the party and drink while you can :D

:hello: Hello newbie to this thread here.I'll do a bit of an intro and then I do have a couple of questions that you lot may be able to answer.

Me and BF have been together for 4 years and have decided that it is time for us to have kids. If it was up to him i'd be on my 3rd by now, but I'm the one in charge so it's tough!

I'm 27, quite fit and healthy with a normal bmi. I could probably do more excercise, but couldn't we all. My cycle has always been somewhere between 4 1/2 to 6 weeks and really heavy, and I really struggle predicting it. Because of this I was on the pill for years, but I figured it sent me a bit wappy at times so I stopped taking it about a year ago.

Ok so here are the questions:
    1. I suffer from allergies all year round, and take a hayfever tablet every day (only half during the winter) does anyone know which ones are safe during pregnancy? Does anyone use any natural methods insead? I will be going to the docs but my next day off isn't for two weeks so if anyone has any answers it would be nice.

    2. How do you convince your man to do things that may increase his fertility? I have been trying to get BF to take a multi vit etc but he just won't (can't be bothered) do it!!!

    PS Congrats Lovinit!!
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.
