Trying To Concieve

  • Hi All,This is my first post ever but wanted to give you my support. I am 12 weeks pregnant and so far so good.My Australian friends swear by a product called 'Maybe Baby'. Even before I started TTC they sent me one and I used it out of curiousity to see if I was ovulating around the ocrrect time etc. 'It is a mini-micrsocope designed to help predict when you are most likley to concieve' (basically everyday you put some of your saliva onto a tiny microscope and when you are ovulating it shows up as ferns - you then clean it and re-use it). I fell pregnant the 2nd month of TTC but may have done anyhow as all 3 of my sisters fell pregnant within 3 months of trying. My husband took it to share with a colleague at work and his wife brought a similiar thing (same idea different brand) from the internet here in London and they said that it worked the same way (their's was a lot cheaper as well).Just thought I would share. Thank you for being kind on my first post.

    Hi ToniAus

Congratulations! Hope you and your little bump are doing well!

I had read about that on the net as well. I know that now I am TTC I will try anything but still trying to remain light hearted about it!

Welcome to MSE, I am a newbie too!

That's a new one on me ToniAus, the pre-seed gel thing has also come as a surprise reading this thread.
I checked my mymonthlycycles last night, and actually I was due on yesterday not today, and I still haven't come on yet. I'm not actually holding out any hope, even though I know you can get false negative because I am so riddled with hormones it's bound to hit any minute. I've cried twice today already, the poor kids in my class had a rollicking for most of the day, and now I've got MIL coming around tonight after telling OH last week that she feels I just plain don't like her. That combined with some more frustrating news in work today is just making me a quiverring jelly. It almost makes me say roll on AF, I just need a hormone release!!
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

jiblets1 have you done another test?

The first month I tried to TTC my AF was 9 days late! It was torture so I understand where you are coming from.

Why are MiL so awkward. Try to have a good night regardless - easier said than done!

Poor you! Just test again few days if AF not arrived. I've been late a few times recently but I'm sure its the stress of TTC! x

Hey, can i just say that dont worry too much about using lube (someone mentionned pre seed)-we regularly use a lube and it didnt affect us when ttc.

My preg test was +ve. I've done another this morning and another this evening and they are getting darker. After my early miscarrige last month I'm so scared. I dont want to get my hopes up too much. I'm due AF tomorrow so I have found out very early. I will feel better about things in a few weeks if I'm still pregant. I'm trying my best to relax and take it easy but so difficult to relax when I'm constantly worried acout miscarrige!
Re ovulation sticks I started testing day11 and carried on til I got result.

Personally I feel we aren't giving medical advice, more like advice based on personal experience.
I think this thread is more about help, encouragement, support and just somewhere to come and rant when things aren't going well.
im on your side, just that i got mine shut due to someone saying i was asking for medical advice? i went.. just wanted any help and info with how others cope? best of luck:o

There are occasionally some people that like to "shoot down" someone/something (I've seen it in other threads) whenever they get a chance. It is after all a public forum. Personally, I have definitely learned heaps from the group here - their experience, emotions, advice etc are invaluable. Definitely don't let that someone succeed in passing on that negative vibe onto you. ;)
Thanks to those that have posted & please keep it coming!
