I imagine your body is still settling down, jillie, and your periods will kick in as time passes. How long does each jab last for, is it three months or six? (They're the two numbers in my head). You're doing the right thing, getting your body ready prior to focused ttc-ing. I would presume if you aren't having your periods yet, that your body isn't quite back on track for it yet, but don't quote me on it. If you want to test each month to be sure, then by some cheap ones - it'll save you a fortune compared to the ones in the shop. I was recommended www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk on here and I found them cheap, quick and discreet.

I've not posted for a few weeks, but I feel like I need to get some stuff off my chest, so apologies if I ramble... Here goes...

Last month I had swollen, achey boobs, and was almost convinced I was pg. Then on cd 27 AF made an appearance - early and painful and heavier than usual.

This month I have have no 'boob symptoms', am on cd 30 (cycle varies between 28 - 32 days). I did get stabbing, almost dragging pains on about cd 25 though, that I thought could be Mittelschmerz (ov pains), or could be implantation pains (oh please please!)

I am wondering if I might have had an early m/c last month, or just a wobbly cycle. I am also now wondering if I might be pg.

I'm trying to wait a few more days to do an HPT, but I'm wondering if AF might appear tomorrow - I HATE the 2WW!
    So.. basically...

    Rant over

On a lighter note - thanks for posting the list of abbreviations - I'm getting to know the lingo at least! :rotfl:

Hi Jiblets, looks as if we have! and AnnieM too!
AnnieM, have you thought about buying a ovulation test to see exactly when you ovulate? You can buy them online or £3.99 from wilkinsons. I find them very useful. Although, hopefully you wont need them next month!
  • I too had a very strange 18 day cycle las month, did a pg test on sunday even though af not due til this mon, as I read on the test it could detect the hormone 7-10 days after conception. Negative obviously. Had my usual baby dreams last night, accompanied by period pains so I know I'm not pg this month. Static- Men eh- totally hopeless.

  • Hello, I've been following this thread (quietly!) for ages as I am also tcc and have been for about a year. I've heard today that the 9th lady in my office within this year is pregnant - I am really pleased for her but today i'm feeling really low. One of my other work colleagues likes to tell me in detail about her monthly cycle and today told me she was two days late. Last month she did the same thing and even brought in her preg test to show me the neg result. She is not TTC and has 2 grown up children. We are not close friends but I think I had mentioned in the past I was TTC. Maybe I am feeling particularly sensitive at the moment or do you think she is just being tactless and what can I do about it? I had surgery in Aug 2006 to remove a large dermoid cyst from one ovary, which the surgeon saved but advised it is 'not perfect' he also advised me I had endo which he removed at the same time. i'm 34 and starting to feel its never going to happen and i feel really rubbish today. Any advice greatly appreciated

You can't help how you feel. I often think people are being tactless or insensitive when I constantly hear about how so and so is pregnant or how so and so's pregnancy is progressing.
I often think......So what! I don't really care! .....when in reality I do care. Its not anyone elses fault that I am having a crap time TTC and have had the gynae problems I've had.
But.....it doesn't stop me wishing that I don't hear those awful words from family members again...Guess who is pregnant now? I cringe when I hear them.

I have found that as soon as you tell someone you are TTC they immediately think you want to know about everyone who is pregnant or just had a baby.
Or they say, have you tried this? have you tried that? I feel like shouting.....YES! I have done all that and then some and its not bl00dy working OK? :rotfl:

Sorry girls....can you tell I'm having a bad day about this TTC malarky :o

We must all be hormonal. I burst out crying in work today in front of my boss. I never cry in front of other people. I just feel like such an idiot!!
I'm so glad I've got this forum to have a rant.

It's not so much the ones I've told that are the problem for me, it's more the ones who think they have the right to know even if I haven't chosen to tell them.
Both my cousin, and someone in work have recently handed me their babies in front of a crowd and loudly asked "so what about you then, are you and OH going to have a baby?" Yeah, like it's that simple, and like I want to announce to everyone what a failure I am! Get some tact and shut up for god's sake!
