    Hi Shelly,
Sending you hugs, I do it every single month. I build my hopes up and then I'm gutted when AF arrives. When will we learn!
    xx

Thanks. Hubby came home from work last night, asked the usual, how was my day, am I ok etc. I said well actually I'm not ok I think AF is here. Then I told him how I was angry with myself for getting excited and planning things. He said that I do it all the time so should be used to doing it by now :D I asked him how he felt about it and he admitted that he had started planning things and getting excited too. He hasn't allowed himself to do that in a long time.

    Oh well, keep plodding along.

Well disappointingly my wife and I are having to stop ttc at the moment as she is suffering toothache and needs to have a tooth removed whilst under sedation, which we can't have done if she is pregnant :(

    Hi skint.

I agree with you about your OH sample, an hour from door to door is too long IMO. I would advise he does like my hubby and do it at the hospital then hand it over and make sure they know it has to be tested immediately.

I also understand how you feel about the sex. My hubby says same as yours, we don't do it just for sake of doing it anymore and I won't be spontaneous unless its been 2-3 days since we last done it :D He says he's not a machine and feels pressured into performing every 2-3 days even if he is tired or just doesn't want to do it. I do feel bad about that but I really want to conceive naturally if at all possible as come August we are getting help but I don't want to go there unless necessary.
My hubby is very good about it all, he says he will go along with me if only to stop the nagging :rotfl:

Well we are having a chat about it on thursday!
I'm going to print off the info from pokem02 and show him, because I still think he thinks it will happen, he's in a bit of denial.
Interesting about the clomid, the nurse who gave us his results said there would be no point in us trying it. But I think I will ring my doc and try and get an appointment. Is there a lot of monitoring, blood tests etc?

I would definitely get another sperm sample analysed, as they can vary from month to month! It all depends what he was doing 3-4 months ago...!!! ;)

But I wouldn't dismiss the clomid either. If OH sperm are a bit sleepy, then giving them 2 or 3 times the eggs to aim for can only help their chances of hitting a target :o

Also, they prescribe clomid to couples where both partners come back with good results - women who are know to ovulate monthly and men with good sperm counts. I assume that your bloods and lap'n'dye both gave good results?

    Good luck! xxx

Thanks- yes my bloods & lap & dye were fine.

Hi Jamz. Try to think of it as a chance to get back to your regular nooky. Maybe it'll be the relaxation you need to things a boost when you can get back on plan. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Can someone help me re advice on SMP. I'm currently employed. I've been offered to go self employed by my employer (for extra money). I'm just wondering how this would affect the SMP. Would I still be entitled?

    We've all gone quiet!

Well I'm due on in 5 days, and I'm wondering if I can stay calm all the way up to the due day, or if I'm gonna start freaking. I think my usual panic starts at t minus 3 days. Feeling sensible so far....

Ha, I hadn't thought about it as waiting for it not to arrive. That's very true though.

Can you technically wait for something not to happen? Maybe we could make a new sport out of it? Not much fun though...

  • I have been reading this thread with a lot of interest and was hoping that I can join too. We are not ttc conceive yet although I'm desperately want to start! Unfortunately, Mr Pincher wants to wait a few months. He has agreed that we can start in September though so I'm trying to optimise our chances ready for that date.

My main worry is embarrassing in that despite trying my best we don't do it very regularly at all and I can't see that changing in September tbh so the trying 2-3 times each week isn't realistic :( But I thought maybe if I somehow managed to convince him on 2 of my most fertile days before OV that that would give us a chance?

I've already started temping / charting on fertilityfriend, cutting down massively on drinking, trying to improve both our diets, planning on buying pre seed and pregnacare vitamins and have bought a Persona monitor which planning on starting to use in conjunction with charting from August. Have also bought a couple of sexy outfits to help get Mr Pincher in the mood too! :p

Do you think there is anything more I can do in preparation? I've been wanting this for a long time and have been really really broody for a few months now...
