Every womans body is different. I was on the pillfor 15+ years but fell pg the first time within 2 months. I wouldn't say back then we were even really trying, just having fun
Now we are trying like mad its not happening.
Also I agree with lwcus about speaking to your hubby. He is probably trying to protect you as much as you are trying to protect him but honestly you do need to tell each other how you are feeling. If either of you bottle up your feelings one of you will blow up one day and the other will have no clue whats going on. (got the tshirt for that)
I tell my hubby all the time how I feel about this TTC malarky, sometimes I think I go on too much:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi - I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. My DH isvery keen to start ttc. I'm a little more hesitant, but definately thinking about it. The thing is I was wondering if you can recommend any books/literature on ttc and pregnancy - there seems to be so mcuh I'm not sure where to start.
I want to be well informed and have a bit more of a think.....r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Hey r.mac, ive just recieved a book today that i ordered off amazon.... not sure if you're interested but it is called 'Your pregnancy bible' by Dr Anne Deans, even though it is mainly pregnancy info, it also has info about ttc and looking after baby afterwards. I've just had a quick look through it, and it seems eally good. It's very in depth, but i also brought a light hearted book 'the rough guide to pregnancy and birth' for a lighter read.
I hope this helps a bit, although you may want a book just for ttc if you don't fall pregnant straight away/quite soon- i didnt get chance to think about it luckily but ive seen some very good books online for ttc.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

pokem02- thanks for all your infomation- I've had theblood tests, the lap & dye. As I came round after my lap & dye the doc mentioned clomid, he said to ring his nurse/registrar rather than waiting for follow up apmt. I spoke to my gp who said I have to wait 6 months after the lap & dye, and my folow up apmt would be coming through soon. Because we then got oh sperm results back, I havent pushed for the clomid, as I thought with the sperm being so poor there wouldnt be much point? I need to approach oh about another sample asap, as although I do agree it is poor, I think it was a bad sample, just over an hour from door to door.Compulsive Spendaholic #150

Jiblets- dont worry it wont show, I feel like I over emphasise how happy I am for people, and they're usually so interested in their bump they wouldnt notice if you were a bit off.
I um and ah over confiding into my oh after a few weeks ago he was saying that we never have sex just for sex, so now I've gone the other way and dont talk about it at all though. That will change this week though I'm determined that we have a sit down and see were each others at.Compulsive Spendaholic #150 -
I'm hacked off today. More with myself than my body. I was 2 days late and let myself get excited and started planning things when I knew it was too soon. AF arrived today. I'm finding it more and more difficult to not get excited and not start planning things in my head when AF is even a day late then I have the inevitable come down from the high I have made for myself.
Just out of interest.....how do you girls work out your cycle length? Well I think I know how its done, count from first day of AF to first day of next AF...is that right?
I'm not sure how to do mine as usually I have a day or two of spotting before AF starts properly. Would you count the first sign of blood (spotting) as AF or the first day it properly starts?
You would think I would know by now but usually I know my AF is around the 26th of the month so I use that as my guide but I want to work it out properly so I can stop getting myself worked up like this.
Thanks:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi skint.
I agree with you about your OH sample, an hour from door to door is too long IMO. I would advise he does like my hubby and do it at the hospital then hand it over and make sure they know it has to be tested immediately.
I also understand how you feel about the sex. My hubby says same as yours, we don't do it just for sake of doing it anymore and I won't be spontaneous unless its been 2-3 days since we last done itHe says he's not a machine and feels pressured into performing every 2-3 days even if he is tired or just doesn't want to do it. I do feel bad about that but I really want to conceive naturally if at all possible as come August we are getting help but I don't want to go there unless necessary.
My hubby is very good about it all, he says he will go along with me if only to stop the nagging :rotfl:
Please do talk to eachother.
Good Luck x:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

My doctor told me that they count 'Day 1' as the first day you actually wake up with 'blood', rather than a day that you get spotting during the daytime. So even if AF comes on fully during the evening say, your proper day 1 is the next day - the day you wake up with blood.0 -
That's interesting to know Honeypop - I never quite knew what to do when I came on in the evening.
I think you're all right. I do need to keep Hubby up to date with how I'm feeling - I just feel sometimes that it can be a bit like raking over old ground for no good reason. But I didn't lose any sleep last night over my mate's good news, so hopefully it means that it's not going to have as much of an effect on me as I feared it might.Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Hi Shelly,
Sending you hugs, I do it every single month. I build my hopes up and then I'm gutted when AF arrives. When will we learn!
