  • Hi everyone,

I would like to join your thread.

OH and I have been TTC since January 2006.

We already knew OH might have issues due to an operation he had in his early 20s and subsequent tests have shown him to have a low count and poor quality.

Unfortunately, having been testing myself using a clearblue ovulation test for the last two months, I have discovered that I don't seem to be ovulating either! My AF is regular as clockwork but I am 40 in January and OH is 35. I am also slightly overweight - although both doctors I have seen said I am not too large for it to be a problem in their opinion.

We saw the GP recently and he has lined up blood tests for me, after which we have to phone the hospital to set up an appointment. I kicked myself today for missing my blood test appt, so it looks like it will be another month before we can make any appointments.

    Anyway, that's my story.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    Hi angela.

Welcome to the thread and good luck.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Welcome angela :D

    Congratulations wannawin :j

Hey shelly, that was good of that doctor to at least speak to you a bit about the AC. Just a shame there is not currently more information available about it.

My blooming sleeping patterns are so up the wall. I have poorly dogs at the moment (kennel cough) and they are keeping me up at night coughing, poor mites. Its really annoying though because I am dying to start BBT but can't because I don't seem to be getting 3 hours sleep on the trot at all! I suppose its not a major problem whilst AF is still here but really need my sleep to settle down before it goes so I can start temping.

Had my blood test yesterday so just gotta wait to see if my "levels" are ok - just over a week to wait before I can start ringing the doctors to check.

We seem to be having a bit of a BFP lull (apart from you wannawin!), but at least its October soon so we should have another influx. I just wish it was me, at the moment I feel like its never gonna happen. I can't even imagine myself ever saying to anyone "I am pregnant". Sorry, won't get maudlin (sp?) at this time of the morning, that won't give anyone the best start to the day, lol.

Onwards and upwards and to infinity and beyond:D

    Rosie Bud xx
  • Hey Rosiebud, big hug for you, sorry to hear about your dogs! And yes positive thoughts, it is almost october and that should bring lots of BFP, and who knows it could always be you! Just don't worry about it and try and get some sleep back into your life, then everything should become a little easier!

    Anyway keep smiling! :)

  • Rosiebud I know EXACTLY what you mean, I cant imagine it ever being me, a little person growing inside me and the happiness that brings.
On the positive side I was told by a friend who is a midwife that a LOT of babies are born in Sept (conceived at Xmas or thereabouts) and they are always busier in maternity wards then, so we have 3 months of trying but that mulled wine and mince pie may well bring on the baby dust - well thats what I am telling myself anyway! xxx

Poor RosieBud. I was talking to a friend at home who had a mc recently. We were feeling really sorry for ourselves but in the end cheered ourselves up with the fact that at least we have the love our dogs and that at least with dogs you could still get a good nights sleep. You seem to be having the worst of both worlds right now.
