I'm normally quite an active poster on MSE but have registered under a different name in case anyone recognises me!
I will be TTC from mid-September (aiming for honeymoon baby!) and came off my pill at the beginning of May in preparation. I had the usual bleed which lasted six days then 16 days later, I started to bleed again, which I think is what MsTine referred to in her post earlier today. However, this bleed hasn't been "normal" and I was hoping if somebody could let me know if they have experienced the same. Basically, it started off as brown gunk (sorry if TMI!) for two days, then a day of practically nothing (not gunk, no blood), then a day of blood, then a day of gunk again. I don't know if this is just my body getting used to not being on the pill (I've been on it for about 9 years now).
I know we're not allowed to ask for medical advice and so I'm not asking for a diagnosis, I am just after knowing whether anyone has had the same?
I haven't posted under this username for a while but since I posted me and OH got married and are TTC. Honeymoon baby didn't happen but we're going to start TTC properly now.
I've had two periods since coming off the pill (excluding the gunk referred to above) and according to the dates, I have a 32 day cycle. My last period started on 14th September and according to fertilityfriend, my most fertile days are next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. According to babycentre my most fertile days are next Monday to Saturday.
How do I know the best days to try? Do we BD every day between next Monday and Saturday or every other day (I think I've read somewhere, maybe on this thread, sperm is best at two days old as it's strong but not old, so BD every two days is best).

I have been advised by 2 fertility docs to BD every 2 or 3 days all through the month.

I have recently had that icky brown gunk... it's like the aftermath of a period (the last few days).... i dont know what it is.. but i just thought after being on depo for so long that it was just my attempt to have a period. I expect them to even out soon. Doesnt look right though does it, and its not enought to wear a sanitary towel or tampon, i just have panti liners0

I had that exact experience yesterday, I was in Morrisons on my way to the airport and I accidently walked down the baby aisle. I jumped out of it like I'd been stung. I can't escape from pregnant women and babies at the moment. But I guess that we weren't the only ones to decide to move to Wimbledon to start a family, because it's wall to wall babies.0 -
Hi Ladies.
Right....I need advice from Agnus Castus users.
I have decided to try some but need a little advice. I have googled for advice but didn't get a definate answer!
How long did you take it for? I have read that some advise only taking up until you ov but others advise it can be taken during the whole cycle.
How many capsules did you take per day? Some say 1 some say 2.
At the moment I am on CD18 and the fertility monitor says I have been at "high" fertility for 10 days now! (not ov'd yet and I honestly don't think i'm going to)
For the few months I have been taking notice of cycle lengths I vary from 27 days to 37 days with 30-31 being the more usual.
I spoke to my doctor about shortening my cycles and she said they will get back to more normal lengths as I lose weight but I'd like to try and help them along IYKWIM.
Thanks ladies
Oh and just to add....I had thought of calling my GP and/or emailing my fertility consultant but I'm sure they will both say not to bother.
When I called GP about putting hubby on Zinc he said not to bother but hubby was happy to go on it so he is.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
