SkintChick, were you keeping track of when you Ov'd ? I used ov sticks but just missed the actual day but combined with filling in my past cycles on fertilityfriend.com we worked out that we more than likely concived on the 11th just wondering how close to me you are?
Also Ladies the Ov sticks I was offering have now beenbagsy'd

Personally I can't say enough bad things about the depo (like 2 extra stone that I still haven't shifted! "mild side-effect" - huge bloody symptom I'd say!) - I would still speak to your doctor xcat before you actively try and concieve before the extra hormones have had a chance to get out of your system... I was reading after looking at this thread that there is an increased risk of miscarriage if you don't give your body a chance to "flush" and at least have one PROPER period - not the withdrawal bleed. I'll try to find the site again but it was some "dull" medical one about 2/3rds down the page lol... not very helpful I guess
But please speak to your doc or nurse first...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

agree with the weight thing! i went from a 12 to a 16 in a month
i've read this m/c thing as well and its scared the poo-poo out of me! im going to go to the docs i think & see what they say. i have a feeling all i will get is a lecture about my age and not being married (yes thats the doctors we have at mine. i got a 20 minute grilling on why did i want to be on the pill!) i suppose people who get preg on the pill dont always m/c but i'd rather be safe than sorry.:j TTC from September 08 / BFP November 08 / EDD 22nd July 09 :jOH's debt as of Sept 08 - £15,000 / Nov 08 - £13,5000 -

I had this a lot, i don't think i am too old to ttc or not as the case may be! It can be very disconcerting when you get told you are too old to be on the pill! (if you haven't got kids yet).
Oh well OH and i are just going to have fun and see what happens for now, he would like to plan on having a kid later next year, so was thinking of working at it around christmas or his birthday in Jan 09. Lets see.

Hi all,
Had a BFN this morning so feeling a bit rubbish. I was just thinking, is anyone saving for a baby fund for when we do conceive (because we all will you know!).
I was thinking of starting to put a little away each month for when things like maternity leave or big purchases crop up - or is that tempting fate? Its just my hubby and I dont have lots spare each month so any I can have saved will ease any pressure when/if our time comes & we get that BFP?
Any thoughts?

I think saving is a great idea, if the worst happens and you don't conceive as quickly as wanted then you can always use the money for a holiday to cheer yourself up.
All money will come in very handy when a baby arrives. Great idea and thanks reetyreLeopardlady

me too - I even told them I was on it once before and gained a stone which I'd only just shifted and wasn't there something else - but at the time this is what they recommended... a year later my weight rocketed! like you from a size 12 to a size 16... and I still am although was gradually coming down to a size 14... I doubt I'll stay there now :rotfl:
They decided when i had gained 13lbs in 3months despite giving them a copy of my food diary that just maybe it wasn't because I was "eating all the pies" and refused to give me another injection... bless them.
As for the lecturing - listen to them and then firmly and politely tell them that you want a family whilst still young. There isn't anything wrong with your age as such - yes it's a little young but it's not age that matters it's maturity
Personally we didn't try to concieve until after my second proper period - and sods law we fell first try! :rotfl: DH thought we'd get a few months of practice in! - mainly because I wanted to get most of the hormones out of my system AND I wanted to know how long my cycle was
As you say I too wanted to do the "rather safe than sorry"...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Hi everyone,
Congratulations for all the BFPs!! :j I'm now on CD9 and am now feeling very sorry for myself as I've just had all my wisdom teeth taken out...just waiting until I can take the next painkiller! Whilst I wouldn't say that I look like a hamster yet, I certainly have a very square jaw at the moment. I hope that the pain gets better than this quickly because otherwise the chances of BDing in time for OV are about zero! :rotfl::jBaby boy, Hugh, born on the 8th June 2009, weighing 2.5kg:j0 -
I must have been very lucky with the depo, as i have always been over weight, couldn't tell if i put any on but have lost a dress size since coming off, so can't really complain. Also doc never warned me of any risks with ttc after depo, at least i have been off it for over a year now! Thanks for the heads up though

I have no idea! The first day of may last period was August 11, my cycle is usually 34 days on average, but I don;t know when I ovulated. We did lots of BDing over the bank holiday weekend, and usually BD at weekends but not in the week (can you tell we weren;t trying very hard? We only started BDing three months ago when we got married!) but I don;t really know. If the test says 1-2 weeks ago, then I guess it was the weekend of the 6th/7th? DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
