    Debt-free and Proud!
After I stopped depo, it took a couple of years for AF to get back to some kind of normality, but at least the stone and a half I'd put on while on it dropped off in about six months.

  • Hi guys, I have just found this thread! Isn't amazing that the forums are so diverse?

Well to let you know a bit about me, I'm 34 (35 in a fortnight:eek: ) and I have been ttc for 3 years off and on. I had a mc 2 1/2 years ago and found it very traumatic and became obsessed with BDing, and became depressed and pushed OH away(Strange way to BD :o )

Got through that difficult time, and thought if it was meant to be it would happen, and refused to accept there may be a problem!

So I finally got to my Drs today (took head out of sand) , and she immediately thinks that I have polycystic ovaries (Irregular AF, mild hairyness:rolleyes: although fair ). She is making me an referal for the gyne at Liverpool Womens hospital, I have to collect a letter tomorrow and call them for an appointment:eek: !

What happens next? She said that OH needs a sperm analysis so he must attend too? It all just seems so scary but in a strange way exciting, at least if there is a problem we can do somthing positive rather than pretending. OH is wonderful, he was the one that pushed me to go to the gp today, and loves me no matter what.

Any advice really appreciated as I am sooooooooo scared:eek:   !

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before
  • I came off of Depo last December and it was about 3 months before I got "proper" periods. Another couple of months before I noticed CM etc. But that could be because I never really paid much attention to it until I found this thread. :o Just thought I was hornier some days more than others. :rotfl:

    Hi all,
Had a BFN this morning so feeling a bit rubbish. I was just thinking, is anyone saving for a baby fund for when we do conceive (because we all will you know!).
I was thinking of starting to put a little away each month for when things like maternity leave or big purchases crop up - or is that tempting fate? Its just my hubby and I dont have lots spare each month so any I can have saved will ease any pressure when/if our time comes & we get that BFP?
    Any thoughts?
    Reety xx

As soon as we decided we would be ttc I started a "pram fund" as I knew that to get a decent double pram (I already have a 20mth son) Id need £500 so I put £10 a week in savings via standing order figuring that the quickest a bubba would arrive would be about a year.

I had my last depo injection last March. It took my periods a few months to return to normal. Since then we haven't used anything in the hope that falling pregnant might just happen. It hasn't yet so we're having to up the anti a bit!

Saying that though about normal periods - AF arrived on Saturday. It was a good flow which reduced a bit on Sunday, then yesterday it stopped. Usually AF lasts a good 5 days or so, so this one is a bit odd. Is your CD still the same even if AF doesn't last as long? I'm currently on CD4.

Welcome to the newbies, good luck :hello:

  • morning!

re: depo - i had my last injection in nov 06, i didnt have a proper AF till nov 07 and i'd only had 4 injections! still cant shift the weight now either. i wasnt told about the weight gain or the risk of decreased bone mass. the doctors were then going to refuse to let me go on the pill because i complained about the weight gain on depo. they didnt see the point to me taking "another hormone preparation". 2 completly different things! they put me on microgynon but i had migraines so in the end i had to go back to progesterone only, had a little weight gain but i think it was water retention. took a few aqua ban and my jeans fitted again. hurrah!

had chronic period pain all night but no AF has appeared! had the odd spotting here and there but thats it. not happy this morning like!

OH is getting nearly as baby obsessed as i am. he was telling me last night he wants to know every teeny tiny PG symptom i have.

has anyone else notice that since they started TTC they see babies EVERYWHERE? like before you could go shopping, walk past 20 prams and not notice and now you're peering in them all?

oooo and im starting a baby fund now as well :)

  • Morning all!

    Welcome to the thread newbies!:D

Gracie - I know how your husband is feeling (paranoid) at the moment because I would be exactly the same. I worry most of the time (and then worry why I'm not worrying if everything is going good, lol) and especially when it comes to upsetting your friends. I agree with everyone else that the newly weds will just be very busy at the moment and not had time to reply or get back to him. I'm sure they haven't even given his non-appearance a second thought but your mind is a cruel thing sometimes and you can convince yourself of terrible things. I also think that is lovely what you have done regarding the ashes and your doggie.

Well AF came this morning so back to CD1. I have to have a blood test between today and CD7 so gonna go tomorrow night, not sure why something about LFH or something like that? Then gotta go for 21 day blood test again (but on CD23 this time). I know its stupid because the doctors said I didn't ov but I kinda convinced myself I could be pg if I ov'd later than CD21 and really thought I might be pg (seeing as though yesterday was CD35). Just turns out my cycle wasn't as regular as I thought!:o Well at least this month will be my second month on mymonthly cycles.com and got my digital thermometer for BBT and also got some ov sticks to pee on aswell.

and cat_girl - jeez I never knew there were sooooo many babies out there. Its like now you want one every other person in the world has one except for you doesn't it!

Anyway must dash cos better leave for work, though I could sit here all day!

I wasn't too bad when we first started TTC, but once I had my m/c there seemed to be pregnant ladies and babies everywhere! Shortly afterwards I was wandering around the supermarket, trying to find something or another, and found myself in the baby aisle...I must have looked a bit odd as I zoomed out of there, head down and lips bitten. Fortunately I can manage to go past that sort of thing now :o.

On a lighter note, my "square jaw" has now become a full-on hamster extravagaza :rotfl:
