  • Ladies, don't focus only on conceiving, try and relax, and enjoy the rest of your life outside TTC times, everything will happen in its own time.[/quote]
I totally agree. We had been ttc for over a year so gp refered us for futher tests which confirmed that I had pcos. I was prescribed clomid to regulate my cycles and was told to take ttc seriously as you are not allowed to be on clomid for too many cycles.
We then had all the stress of selling/moving/packing/decorating new house etc so we decided to put ttc on hold till we were more settled because we didnt want to waste using the clomid. We then got the shock of our lives we got the bfp soon after moving in. Timing wasnt great as we got ourselves a bigger mortgage but couldnt be more happier. Son is now two and got a bfp two weeks ago. All without medical intervention.
  • I am feeling a bit nervous. I am going to go for my 21 day blood test tomorrow and I'm scared. Its silly because tomorrow will not tell me anything but I still feel a bit anxious.

At least its only another week till AF is due. It would be great if the results of the blood test were irrelevant because I get a BFP but I don't really think that is going to happen. Sometimes I feel like I can't envision myself pg so will it ever happen. Stupid I know but I can't help it.

Bit fed up today, can you tell :o .

Just wanted to get that off my chest.

I can't even imagine what it must be like for those of you who are having trouble TTCing... :( I know we have been incredibly blessed in falling pregnant so quickly - but now I am plagued by fears that it was all too quick and too easy and what if I am one of the 1 in 4 who miscarry in the first 3 months! Darling hubby keeps telling me that I need to stop worrying and I know he's right... all we and I can do is our best - if it all goes wrong this time round then we'll try again but I HAVE to stop worrying or my worrying will cause things to go wrong... I know he's right but dang it's hard to stop worrying! :(

  • Hi Mrs Tine,
Please try not to worry. When I was pregnant I often worried that something was wrong. In the end, it turned out there was, but I can honestly say that when I was told that I'd had a delayed miscarriage I didn't think to myself "I'm glad I worried so much before, because it's made it easier now"...because I don't think it helped at all!

I know that I haven't expressed this terribly well and that "don't worry" is much easier to say than do. But, if the statistic is that 1 in 4 pregnancies miscarry, that means that 3 out of 4 don't...so it's far more likely that things will be fine, than they won't be. :)

  • Just like to say thank you for all the congratulations you guys have posted!

Went to the in-laws and, this is very very premature I know, but we told them the news. So now both mums and dads know but we have sworn them to secrecy. Had to tell them I guess - they would only have questioned why I was turning down the fab wine -very unlike me!

So, gals - keep baby dancing and lets get some more BFP's on here!

Mrs Tine - oh my, we could be due the same time! Going to make a docs appointment not for this week but the following week when I have two days off.

    Scary stuff!

hehe a Due Date Buddy ;) How scary! :D
We have had to tell the neighbours - again they would have soon noticed that I wasn't partaking in any wine which is not like me.
We've told them it's very early etc and we're aware that much can still go wrong but we thought we'd tell them anyway - especially as we're often round having dinner at each others houses and it could get complicated if I had to pick my way round cheeses and pate's and what not... :)

My DH and I have agreed that when we do get pregnant we won't make a big announcement until after the 12 week scan. But we will tell the people who we'd want to support us through the worst right away.

I said that before I got pregnant with DD but it took two weeks of not drinking at the weekend before everybody guessed. :o

Between that and suddenly developing a really difficult pickyness about food - people you see every day WILL guess :D
The sudden need to wee every hour, suddenly going green just because someone brought some food in that is really aromatic... especially peple who've had kids already will guess - male or female ;) Men remember the symptoms from their partners and women... well I think we have a built in radar!
