I totally understand Angela, I did bleed once a month just a lot lighter than before having IUS so it would seem that I was OVing, I think I've heard that some women don't OV every month any way and that does slow down after hitting 35 (If I'm remembering correctly) sounds like you may be one of the unlucky ones
If I was in your position I'd be tempted to use OV test everyday until I got a positive but it has been said that I have a "slightly"obsessive personality!
    Good luck chuck :D xx

Sorry for an intimate question - but am I right in thinking that EWCM when it's stretchy is the best time to bd?

Yes, it may stretch up to about 10cm!

And I think this thread is long past being worried about intimate questions....:o

I have started OV testing but nothing as yet.....this is the bit in which im cunfused....on a few other web sites ive read that the coil stops bleeding in most women completely but it only stops ovulating in a few???

That confuses me...if they still ovulate....why dont they then bleed. In which case i may have been ovulating!!! Im maybe just reading too much and getting myself confused......

Took a test this morning BFN.

I'm going for cocktails. A place near me has the most yummy cocktails made from a shot of baileys, a shot of mint liqueur, two choc-chip cookies and a big scoop of ice-cream all blended up with a choc-chip cookie floating on top. Happy hour is from 5-7pm, so I'm taking the dogs for a quick walk, before I gorge myself. pint.gif

And tomorrow I'll have fresh sushi.

I didn't actually stretch it myself, but could see it on the tissue last night. Needless to say as soon as DH woke up this morning he got a nice surprise! I laid with my hips in the air to help the little swimmers on their way, so fingers crossed.......

May try again later if DH is up to it just to make sure ;)

Just a reminder, what I've read on the internet suggests that a small pillow under the hips is beneficial, but anything higher could have the opposite effect, as it would put the pp BEHIND the cervix, rather than tilting towards it.

  • Hee hee, this thread certainly puts a smile on my face! Hi to the newbies - I hope you're all bringing lots of babydust!!

I'll be OVing this week, so DH's luck is well and truely in. We were just round checking on a friends' house while they're away on holiday and thought it would be exciting to get jiggy in their lounge... not sure I'll be able to keep a straight face next time we're around there for drinks :D :rotfl: Certainly spiced things up a bit :p
  • Had a real hard time TTC for three years, with hubby having had a reversal of vasectomy and me having cycles all over the place, and wondering all the time if I could be pregnant (cost me a fortune in tests !)... after tests eventually got told it was unlikely we'd have a child of our own by consultant unless we go down IVF route, so we decided to go down the adoption route... went to the introductory meetings and eventually decided to go ahead, couple of weeks later I went to the concert of my favourite band of all times, and a few weeks after that went to GP with a suspected UTI and she found out there was a faint blue line on the pregnancy test she'd done behind my back !
Ladies, don't focus only on conceiving, try and relax, and enjoy the rest of your life outside TTC times, everything will happen in its own time.
  • Hi all, well done on BFP Icklebeans, please sprinkle your spare babydust on us if you are off the the preg thread!!!!

Well, I am starting a week of serious BDing, and have my pre IVF scan booked for Tuesday at 10.30 - to decide whether we are going to use a hefty dose of drugs, or none at all (its a 'natural IVF - dont do shut down, just the natural cycle) Thankfully DH still has his job, after a worrying couple of weeks, and we can afford to carry on!!!

Good Fun to all BDing this weekend, try not to wear out those OHs too much!!!
