Pretty much what Js_other_half said. I was told about it as a cautionary tale as a teenager and my mother isn't the type to bs. And I was told at regular intervals that the women in my family are super fertile. Just not me apparently, as after 13 years of only using barrier method contraception, has shown.;)

I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant this month. This is day 27 of my cycle and I tend to be a little irregular usually going from 31-35 days. So I'm going to have a hell of a week waiting for it to come. If it doesn't come by Monday night I'll be swinging back to, "ooh, maybe I am pregnant," despite the fact that I've only had a 28 day cycle once in about 5 years. Then each day it doesn't come I'll be more excited and frustrated.

I'm being overly obsessed by this because my grandmother died suddenly a few months ago. And I have this fantasy about going home at xmas with a 12 week scan under my belt and telling my family the news. My dad has been really down since she died and I know this would cheer him up so much. And my mother's brother is really unwell (mentally) and I think something good would be a good distraction for her and my (other) grandmother. I just feel like things have been a bit crap for my family over the last 6 months and it's made me want this especially hard.

Gracie, I completely understand where you're coming from re. wanting to have good news to tell my family. My Mum has been pretty ill this year and has been through a really tough time, there is nothing more I would love than being able to go home to tell her and my Dad that me and hubbie are expecting - they don't have a clue that we're TTC.
I'm on CD20 out of a normally 25 day cycle, but i've not got any symptoms and i'm a bit worried that we were BDing too early this month and maybe missed the 'right' time ! Well only another few days of waiting!

I know its all very confusing....but i didnt bleed when i had the coil in....well maybe once every four months or so but even then for less than a day. So i'm assuming as I wasnt bleeding that i wasnt ovulating.....

As said before my CM isnt as described on here. Now maybe thats cause ive had the coil in and it hasnt yet left my system properly or maybe its to do with my age (39)......

If only i would have a period i would settle down....its the not knowing whats going on thats doing my head in!!!
