Hi Lepardlady
I can complete understand where you are coming from. We're on our 3rd month of TTC and as AF is due next week I spend most of my time wondering whether or not i'm pregnant! I have got better than my first month though when I was always symptom spotting and driving my poor OH mad.
I'm trying hard to not stress about becoming pregnant, and if AF does appear next week at least i'll be able to drink champagne on my 30th.

This is the second month of conceiving and as far as I can tell we have done everything correctly. We have baby dancing 3 nights in a row and once on Thurs to make love without baby dancing. I have felt ovulation pains last night. The previous two mornings I have had the "right muscus" along with last nights population paste (ewgh!), temperature hasn't gone down yet so may baby dancing tonight too (isn't he a lucky fella?!) and I am folic acid and he is on the zinc!
So, all good signs, now got to go through the two week wait...
Tonight we are going to stay with the in-laws. Father-in law likes good wine as well as me. But, what if I was pregant - I wouldn't be able to have any and if I wasn't, I could so I decided to test.
I am on 24 out of a variable 25-29 day cycle. I tested with a Clear Blue strip. A very faint line appeared but not dark enough to get excited. At work I popped along to our local chemist and got a Clear Blue Digital (half price promotion - I got it for £4.99!!!) and it has come up with a Big Fat Positive!!!
I am in shock! Want to tell the world but obviously can't so will just tell you guys!
It is such a relief for us. I think I am just under 2 weeks pregnant, so early days yet for us.
We have been together just over 6 years. Bought our own house 3.5 years ago and been doing it up ourselves since and got married last year on our 5th anniversary. I wanted children around 30-ish - after todays events it looks like I might be about 7 months pregnant on my 30th in March!
So gals - baby dust everywhere for the month of September!

AF definitely on it's evil way.:( I have the dull, heavy, crampy feeling that always precedes it. So I have days of worsening cramps and migraines ahead of me. Yay!
Am so p'd off. In my head I knew better, but deep down I was convinced it would happen right away. One of my grandmothers had 10 children, occasionally with less than a year between them. My other grandmother had 5 kids and conceived while breastfeeding. And I was conceived before my parents even had sex. So I kind of thought getting pregnant for me would happen as soon as I wanted it to.:o0 -
Oh, and congratulations Mrs Tine.:j
I'm very, very jealous.;)
And you too IckleBeans! :j0 -

I was convinced of this on 24.08.08 as I had got the horrible AF cramping pains...on 25.08.08 I got BFP!!!!!

Hi Sami and welcome to the thread.
Do you know if your cycle is irregular because of the IUS or something else? Cheeky and personal question now**(disclaimer at the end)......are you overweight?
How old/young are you? If you are in your 20's I'd advise relaxing and trying with no intervention yet. (when I say intervention I mean, temp charting, ov sticks etc)
If you are over 30 then I'd say still try yourself for awhile but if nothing happens in a few months then maybe try temp charting or ov sticks, whatever you feel comfortable with.
** you will soon get used to personal and cheeky questions and plenty of TMI moments on this thread :rotfl:
Hope I haven't offended you

Shelly; don't worry I don't offend easily
my cycle has always been irregular - the only time not been was when I was on the pill but all those hormones made me ill _pale_ I'm not overweight and I'm 23 so I know nature is on my side but trouble with having IUS removed has given me time to become obsessed.
I have a little boy already he's 19mths and was unplanned so I may be being paranoid that it won't be straightforward but we've not had much luck with mother nature recently.0 -
thanks for the welcome Shelly and Rosie

Do you know if you were still ovulating when you had your coil in?
I have had mine taken out but now i think about it, im not even sure i was ovulating when it was in!!!DS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
