Trying To Concieve

Good morning all! Welcome to the TTC club.
Sorry, helen81, I don't know what could it be. I get lots of different pains and aches, and it is true, I am noticing them all as we ttc.
At the moment I am suffering with headaches and migraines... I had a really bad migraine over the weekend and now I am left with a dull headache that just wouldn't go away. I feel extremely tired as well.... (They always seem to come around weekend-time). I gave up on ibuprofen, as it seems not to help me anymore! I got something from home containing 'nimesulid', which seems a fantastic help from the pain (it is pain killer, my doctor back home suggested it to me a while ago). Although, it is 'not recommended' for the first 6 months during pg and should not be taken in the last 3!!!
I decided to get some more ovulation sticks this month and do a test ever day. So, I am on CD10 out of ~28, and haven't got a smirk or a line yet. Bought some high sensitivity ones on ebay over the weekend, hopefully they will arrive soon. Don't expect OV for another week though.

Hi and welcome to the thread.

To work out your cycle length you count from day 1 of one cycle to day 1 of the next. Day 1 is the day you wake up with AF. If you start AF say on a sunday evening then wake up monday morning in full flow, the monday is day 1, not the sunday.

hi all. I'm a long time lurker and a poster from way back! Still no news to report although it is definte that OH sperm is, basically, useless.
We have an apmt with the fertility clininc this pm to see what can be done.

HI,good luck with your appointment.It would be great if you can report back and let us know how you got on.

we had our 2nd app at the fertility clinic yesterday,and were told that because of OH sperm quantity(quality not too bad ! ) ICSI would be our best hope.

I will do defintely. Its his quantity (2 and 6 million respectively (shpuld be circa 20 mil) and quality (cant remember exact figs but motility v poor).
they did mention some tablets they could give to try and improve it.
ICSI- are you going to go ahead with it? What was your 1st appointment for? I had laparoscopy and Oh has had 2 sperm tests.
I am nervous and excited and feel so rubbish on my OH he is 6 foot 5, a real "mans man", he has given up smoking though 5 wks ago so am hoping this will help.

Hi Linz,
I find www.mymonthlycycles.com very helpful to track my cycles and make suggestions as to when I should be ovulating.

Hi, our first appointment was in an nhs fertility clinic (we were refereed from gyne,after I'd been to see them about a fibroid) they gave us the results of OHs 3rd seaman analysis and my blood tests - I seem to be OK but they said that OH may have a condition called retrograde ejaculation,where most of his seaman end up in his bladder ! so they tested for this, 2nd appointment was to get the results of that test.It appears that he doesn't have this,he just doesn't produce alot of seaman,the actual quantity of his sperm ml for ml isn't too bad or to put it in simple terms "he doesn't produce alot of !!!".

Giving up smoking is probably the best thing he can do,also giving OH zinc as this is supposed to help.

we are now waiting for our referral to a private clinic for ICSI.we know that we can only afford one attempt,but will regret it if we don't at least try once.I'm 40 so time is definitely running out !!

god its such a nightmare isnt it. Yes you should definitely try. COuld you not get ICSI on the nhs, and just pay for the drugs? what sort of price have you been given, and is it covered on medical insurance eg bupa?

Just wondering something............

I bought some pregnancy tests from ebay and I've just checked and they're 10miu, are these the best ones? Also was wondering if someone could tell me what to look for in good ovulation tests, I take it that there are some that are better than others?
