  • Yep an official definite now :D They said they would send the results to my doctor so i wont have to have lab tests now.

I was thinking though about women who go to hospital and they do a test to make sure they arent pregnant and then give them harmful drugs - I've proved their tests are worthless TWICE! it's a bit scary!

I dont know what brand they use but i would suggest they keep some savers 10mlu's in!

Honestly youve no idea how bad i felt the first time i went to a and e and was told it's just my period and i'm not pregnant. He didnt even ask about the pains, check me over or anything, he just walked away as if i was an idiot.

Think i'll have to go to bed and sleep this pain off. Got to take 4 a day for 3 days and they are making me feel crappy, but i shall sleep happy!!!

    Congrats supergirl, thats great news!!

thanks for the wedding wishes, I'm so hoping for a late 'wedding pressie!'

On day 19, temp is through the roof but other than that no 'signs' so not too positive but as I'm moving and the never ending debts too pay thats keeping me preoccupied. Also I've stopped myself buying any tests, so i'll be waiting 7 more days to see what happens...god the waiting is hard!!!

baby dust to all and welcome Mrs Toast :)

Congratulations Supergirl!!! It is finally official. Good luck and keep us updated!!! There is hope for all of us in the end! (I really hope to get pg soon - I want to have my first baby before I am 30 and my Oh will already be 35 at that point, even if we get lucky this month)

We had a very nice day today celebrating our wedding anniversary (ok, it is tomorrow, but we had a day out today). We went for a nice lunch and went to the Zoo (fantastic!!!!) and then a short walk on the sea... Even weather kept up!!!!!

Oh, and tomorrow we are going to view the house - a bit more expensive that we would like to pay, but it sounds very good from the description!!!

Great news Supergirl. Thanks for the update, and good luck with the pregnancy. Enjoy your bump

Hello Mrs Toast. Good luck with the BDing.

2 days into AF and I've started BDing with avengence (totally out of my comfort zone, but DH doesn't seem to mind!). I'm also desparately trying to forget all about dates this month as I've come to the conclusion that constantly knowing when AF started/OV is due/AF is due just makes me dwell too much on the task in hand. But it's seeming to be nigh on impossible!

Can I join in please, I'm feeling lost :o

I have PCOS and had a miscarriage almost 2 months back when I hadn't even known I was pregnant (we hadn't been trying). Anyway, myself and OH have talked about it and decided to start TTC. My first day of last AF was 14 July and my GP has given me a form for a blood test to be done 21 days after the start of my next one to check to see if I'm ovulating (didn't want to do it this month as thought is was best to let things settle a bit first).

But I'm so confused!!!!!! I've been reading here and on other threads about when you should BD, when your going to be ovulating, body temps, I don't know where to start!! My GP has said that she will prescribe something "to make me ovulate" if the tests show that I'm not - will this be Clomid?? Bit confused about the whole cycle thing to - surely if everyones cycle is different then I might not ovulate exactly 21 days (if at all!) after start of AF??? So then the test might show no ovulation when I might be??

Can anyone point me in the direction of some easy to follow info on the web or even a book with all the relevant info I need to know please cos I'm feeling loster than a little lost thing here!! :o

Look forward to getting to know you all :D

 BFN on the weekend test, had shockingly bad cramps saturday and sunday and really under the weather. Still got cramps today, so thats nigh on every day with bad cramps during the time up to today - CD77.

Only got 2 weeks left to wait for my consultant appt. so im hoping i get it all sorted then. The way im feeling lately, im not that interested/bothered by TTC I just want my body and periods back in full functioning order ready for when we do the big push to TTC. Is it too much to ask

Another week - another big dose of good luck to everyone :j

Hi Claire. Welcome to the thread.

I'd say get the blood test done and see what your results are. You have obviously ov'd at least once so chances are you will be fine. If your result comes back negative it could mean that you just haven't ov'd that month but will be fine in future months. You have control remember, not your GP. If you don't want to go onto drugs then you don't have to. You could try TTC yourself for a while and if it doesn't work then think about drugs in the future. (You don't say your age so I don't know if time is on your side or not)

As you say, everyone is different and there is no concrete advice really. I think the general concensus on this thread is to BD every 2-3 days throughout the whole of the month, even when AF is here if you feel comfortable with that.

If you want to go into TTC with a vengence immediately there are a few things you can do yourself. Temp charting, ov sticks etc.

Or you could be like me and not do a thing (other than BD regularly) and hope for the best :D

Good Luck and feel free to ask anything else.
