    Hi All,

    Feeling a bit down !

Had another appointment with the fertility clinic today, they have confirmed, what we already knew, but didn't really want to accept,we will need to have ICSI.
AS I'm 40, time is running out,so now we need to work out how on earth we are going to find the money, and quick !

I have 2 beautiful boys aged 21 and 6,and Iam truly grateful for that, and part of me feels totally selfish for wanting another baby, but that doesn't stop the longing does it ?

If you are a home owner with any equity, consider remortgaging? We were told by our consultant to put aside enough for 3 attempts of IVF before deciding whether or not to continue treatment.

    <hugs>
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.

Thats the problem,we don't own our own home - guess its time to talk to the bank !

Can anyone point me in the direction of some easy to follow info on the web or even a book with all the relevant info I need to know please cos I'm feeling loster than a little lost thing here!! :o

Look forward to getting to know you all :D

http://www.ovusoft.com/library/primer002.asp is a good website and the related book "taking charge of your fertility" which tell you all about charting.

You are right about the ovulation test, if it says you havn't ovulated it would just be it was done on the wrong day - so I wouldn't read too much into it.

I bought some of the new Feminax last time, they've got something in them called Naproxen which apparently you used to only be able to get on prescription. Anyway they weren't cheap - £4.99 for 6 - but they were well worth the money IMHO

    HTH

I was advised to avoid NSAIDS (including ibuprofen & naproxen) while ttc. Probably ok if you are in pre-ovulatory phase (i.e. when you are sure you are not pg) - but otherwise I woulds avoid. Obviously no drugs is the ideal but I think Paracetamol is preferred painkiller, and I was advised to take codiene if something stonger was needed.

For any migraine suffers out there I am only using triptans in pre-ovulatory phase. GP said there was not problem until the point I knew I was pg - however I don't think there is really enough evidence either way. Made it through 2 migraines now while ttc with just paracetamol and codiene. :T Here's hoping they stop while pg (if I ever get there.)

I know Im not pregnant, but I'm curious as to what is happening inside my body so when the time comes to TTC, I know how it all works :D
Yesterday I had a dull ache in my lower abdomen all day,and felt abit nauseous at times..and Ive got up today and feel it again. Im only on CD9 of a between 29-32 cycle (NOT ttc, like I said, just getting to know how my body works in preperation) Surely way too early to be OV?
Ive had breakfast so its not that I havn't eaten. I feel tired too, even though Ive had 9hours sleep. No sore boobs. Any idea anyone?!

I'm sorry but I have no idea at all. But I do know that I notice every little ache and pain more now I am TTC than I did before.
At the weekend I had a painful sensation in my tummy every time I bent down. It was near the place of my surgery 2 years ago and felt like my insides were tearing in half.
Had it for 2 days then it was gone. I know it wasn't ov as I do usually feel that and it wasn't anything like that.
    I've given up worrying :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

    Hey girlies

AF raised her ugly head on Sunday and as soon as she 'vacates' hubby and I will officially be TTC!

Few questions first though that may make me sound completely thick but please bare with me!

    1. I have no idea what my cycle is.............bad I know but I really dont know my own body all that well.

    2. I have no idea where to begin trying to work it our.

Can anyone offer me an idiots guide?

    Linz xoxox
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!
