You can do most tests like a dipstick if you read the instructions. I just use a clean, dry cup. Don't know how much it affects the results though.

I took a few of the plastic water cups from work.

I don't think it really matters what you use so long as it is clean (to prevent contamination) and dry (presumably to prevent it from diluting).

If you have a water cooler at work I'd take one of the plastic cups and trim it down. Or next time you are in your Doctors surgery ask for a pee bottle.
Or anything at all really that is small enough to get where its got to go but deep enough for the test to be used (my dip sticks need to be dipped in the pee up to a line thats about 0.5 cm long)

I had no problem getting my mug "where it had to go". Just made sure it was clean and dry.

    Afternoon all.
My new, nice doctor rang me today. After making an appointment to see the practice manager after receiving a stupid letter from the doctor I had complained about I seem to have put the fear of god into the practice manager. My doc poilitely asked if I would tell her why I'd asked for the meeting. When I told her she said that no, the doctor hadn't followed the practice's policy on complaints and had in fact sent the letter out of his own accord without clearing it with anyone else. She said she could understand why I was upset and that Dr Evil was away for the week. Basically she's told me that she'll take care of it and speak to him which is fine by me. I trust her to do it, and that's all I wanted - just for them to acknowledge that he's done wrong and to speak to him seriously about it.
So, result. That's good enough for me and I'm glad I kicked up a bit of a fuss. Don't let anybody make you feel like you're being silly ladies, I'm so much happier now I have a doctor that takes me seriously.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
