    Thanks Mel,

My DH really wants me to go to the doctors tomorrow though. I don't want to go if you can't really tell when your only 2 days late though. What do you think?

I personally think 2 days late is a bit early to see GP, false negatives usually as HCG levels are not high enough. I would wait 48 hours and test again in the morning.

I went to my GP before TTC due to medication issues, she told be I didn't need to come in until 8 weeks pg! - as home tests are as good as they have. I do know that they can also do blood test for HCG which is usually more sensitive.
  • Yayyyy congratulations to you too Chickpea!!!!

I was feeling pretty low today as hag lady AF showed up today!! I know you all understand what it's like. But I can honestly say coming on here and reading your hopeful messages has cheered me up... and anyway we can do some BD all over again this month ;)

this thread has a very lucky streak going on... and the odds are much better than the lottery!! I wonder which one of us will be next............

    Congratulations Chickpea!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs toast, I don't think I would go at 2 days late.....How about trying another hpt at the weekend. I think If you are generally spot on time every month then going to the docs would probably be best at about 1 wk- 10 days late. They would be more likely to do a blood test then, if you go to early you may be dissapointed if they turn you away.(just my opinion)

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

    Mel x

sorry but having a moan to myself post here.

AF isn't due until tomorrow and I was so hoping it wouldnt come so that I could test over the weekend.

For the last hour or so I have been getting some light stabbing pains and remember this happening last month before AF arrived.

I had really wanted it to happen this month and I just know now that AF is going to show herself. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Anyway - I did the first BFP test on 18 June - went to the doctor's 5 days later - and he basically told me to leave it and come back in 2 weeks. I know I'm pregnant - but I haven't had a doctor tell me so!

Congrats Chickpea! I'd be gutted if I tested +ive then went to the Dr and he wouldn't test me. I'd want it official ASAP.
