    :hello: morning beccaoz

I am feeling very spritely this morning! Anniversary dinner was lovely but a bit weird because I haven't got my head around what I can and can't eat. Bless him DH is very excited and wasn't going to drink to 'keep me company' I told him not to be foolish and ordered him a bottle of wine ;) I had a small glass to toast our anniversary and managed 2 sips - it would appear that I no longer like pinot grigio, which can only be a good thing:D

Oh becca - I think Martins comment in the arms was really amined at arms threads because they are a bit more frivolous and tend to get very big, very quickly and fill up with pics etc. There are a lot of support threads that are much longer so I think we are safe up in the 'proper' boards! I wouldn't bother starting another but I may be wrong.
If in doubt, ask a board guide?

Glad you and hubby enjoyed your dinner and had a great anniversary. You got the best present you could have hoped for.

I appreciate what you are saying about what you can and can't eat. I'm not sure of those things myself, but will wait until I am in your shoes before I do any research.

AF is due for me on Friday, hubby works nights so is not normally there in the mornings so if it doesn't arrive I might do a test on Saturday or Sunday morning. Just have an inkling that AF will show herself though.

Understand what you are saying about the length of the thread. Typical me being over zealous as usual.

Just wanted to say that I bought some preg test from ASDA pharmacy two for £1. So at 50p each a bargain........ here called Eco something or other, basically just the dip sticks without all the plastic casing but will still work....... It also can e used 10 after conception, I think you would take that as Ov as you can't conceive before that point IFYSIM.

    Hi all.
I finally had a reply from my surgery today about that bad consultation I had. The letter came from the doctor himself, and said "I am very sorry that you were distressed...." then went on to "I am afraid I have no recollection of this particular consultation". He then told me that since I am happy with the other doctor I have seen since he wishes me well and that was that.

    HOW RUDE!!!

I'm a teacher, so it's like me saying to a parent complaining that I hit their child "I don't remember it, so lets let that be that". I wasn't asking for this to be taken further, I just wanted the practice to acknowledge that that consultation was not right.

So I think now I'm going to see the practice manager in person and ask her if she thinks this reply is acceptable. I really don't imagine that this would address their complaints procedure. He hasn't addressed a single one of the points I made!
And he has no recollection? Does he not make notes on consultations? How does he expect to treat maladies if he can't remember anything about you from one appointment to the next?

The man is an idiot. I'm wondering if the practice manager asked him to write a letter apologising and this is it. If I dealt with complaints in my school like this I would be up in front of a disciplinary board in no time. It's made me more angry than when I started.

On another note, I'm getting my day 21 progesterone test results tomorrow. Fingers crossed. If I haven't ovulated this month, what will they do? Will they test me a few more months at different cycle points? What would be the procedure? Any ideas?
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

When I had my day 21 test results back a few months ago, which showed no ovulation, nothing happened to be honest. The doctor said OK, keep trying and we'll see you at the 12 month stage (which is next week). I thought that they might test again at different points of the cycle, but as mine is anything from 6 weeks to about 10 or so, it would have taken ages to find the right point in the cycle! Then again, I didn't think they have tested me for that until 12 months anyway, so I wasn't particularly worried.

    Hi everybody,

I just thought I'd come on to ask for some advise. I think I may be pregnant but I don't want to get my hopes up too much. I've been feeling sick since last Wednesday and am 2 days late. I'm never late so there must be something different. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative but I still don't feel right. Besides feeling sick I've been exhausted for the last few days and haven't had any real stomach cramps like normal. Last time I thought I was pregnant I was still getting some stomach cramps. My temperature has been going up and down like a yoyo. I'm probably making something out of nothing but I would really like it if I was pregnant. My DH is excited as well and even if I'm not pg now we'll be trying next month.

    Hi mrs toast

I would wait a few days and do another test... My friend is now 17wks pg and her first test which she did at 7days late showed a negative..she tested again at 13days late and got a positive!!!

There is always a chance of a false neg. But try not to let it play on your mind too much as getting overly stressed or excited can also affect AF and may make it late...

    Thanks Mel,

My DH really wants me to go to the doctors tomorrow though. I don't want to go if you can't really tell when your only 2 days late though. What do you think?

They always say go to the doctor's as soon as possible - but there is such a thing as too soon...

I haven't posted on here for a while - I'd only posted a couple of times earlier in the thread, about how I've been trying for 3 years - then I got a BFP in mid-June, out of the blue. Since I'd barely even made my presence felt on her at that point, I didn't want to butt in with that!!

Anyway - I did the first BFP test on 18 June - went to the doctor's 5 days later - and he basically told me to leave it and come back in 2 weeks. I know I'm pregnant - but I haven't had a doctor tell me so!
