IIRC MFD has only been trying a couple of months at most.

I really don't want what I am about to say come out wrong but please, don't even think about the time its taking other women to conceive. I know from personal experience that it doesn't do any good. We are all so very different, some women are much more fertile than others and I don't think its good to compare our own length of TTC against someone else.

For example, my first pg happened in second month after coming off the pill, that ended in a MC and after my MC I didn't fall again for 2 years, that ended in MC too and I haven't fallen again since.

So in 4 years I have been pg twice, first time after 2 months, second time after 2 years.
I have a cousin who can fall pg just thinking about it :D

I only say all this because after the first mc I used to constantly think...."well I have done it once, why can't I do it again?" or...."Oh well, she got pg real quick, why can't I ?"

As I said, we are all so very different and I worry that some women put too much pressure on themselves by thinking that if someone else can get pg quickly then so can they.

Reading that back sounds to me like I am being condescending, but honestly, I don't mean it that way and I only speak from personal experience.
I just worry about you girls who have only been trying a short time that you are putting yourselves under enormous pressure.

    Anyway, I'll hush now

    :hello: Hiya lay-dees :D

From memory there has only been ONE BFP result since I joined the thread in early May - so my new idea is that STATISTICALLY* ;) one of us should be getting a BFP result this very cycle :T

Who will it be? I'm feeling fruity on CD26
    Who will it be?

It could be YOU :p :T

*statistics based on the theory that there are lies, damn lies and statistics

    it was you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Morning everyone,

MFD how are you feeling the morning after the BFP and your anniversary celebrations too???

I just noticed the length of this thread. Martin posted on The Arms thread about threads that are over 1000 posts long tend to slow up the system. I wonder if we should be starting the 'Trying to Concieve II' thread.

I haven't been on this thread too long, so maybe a more experienced member than myself might want to do it? if not, i will suss out what to do

  • :hello: morning beccaoz

I am feeling very spritely this morning! Anniversary dinner was lovely but a bit weird because I haven't got my head around what I can and can't eat. Bless him DH is very excited and wasn't going to drink to 'keep me company' I told him not to be foolish and ordered him a bottle of wine ;) I had a small glass to toast our anniversary and managed 2 sips - it would appear that I no longer like pinot grigio, which can only be a good thing:D

I am still lurking, mostly because I cannot concentrate on work!

Helen79 - it was only my 2nd cycle of TTC :o but shelly is absolutely right, there's no point in comparing - I consider myself extremely lucky (I am nearly 32, DH is 42) and there is still a long, long way to go.

You've all been so kind, thank you so very much. How can it mean so much to be congratulated by a load of names on a computer screen that you don't know :D

SJ - did AF ever come for you? you must be on CD42 or something if not??? Update please :D

    MFD xxx

Oh becca - I think Martins comment in the arms was really amined at arms threads because they are a bit more frivolous and tend to get very big, very quickly and fill up with pics etc. There are a lot of support threads that are much longer so I think we are safe up in the 'proper' boards! I wouldn't bother starting another but I may be wrong.
If in doubt, ask a board guide?

Morning MFD, gald you enjoyed your night out.

Still no sign at all of AF!! Tested again this morning (even though I knew I would get the BFN), and yes I am on CD42 now!

I'm getting bored of waiting for it really! Oh well.

I have been excercising a little though which can only be a good thing. I don't have weight to lose but I'm probably not very fit, especially for my age (25). Went and played tennis on Sunday and again last night and have been out jogging a few times too. H2B is doing the same as he does have alittle weight to lose and it's better for him too to be doing it together.

It's my best friend's birthday night out on Saturday and if still no AF then I will test again Sat morning to be absolutely sure, and then probably let myself go a little and enjoy the night without worrying too much about drinking etc. Although I won't be going mad with it.

I will keep you informed though. To be honest I'd rather AF just arrived and I can get on wth the next (hopefully shorter) cycle!
