I was just using a boots own brand POAS type - I have a spare now because I had a twin pack!!

In terms of symptoms this is what i can report:

Week 1 - some stomach cramping, VERY emotional (at times when I wouldn't normally be - remember me hiding in the toilets after my meeting), very, very thirsty.

Week 2 - not liking the taste of wine :o, cramping, hormonal, waves of nausea, developed an unusually sweet tooth (ate a whole box of maltesers one day, a box of cholcolate fingers the next - I don't really like chocolate that much normally), very hungry and thirsty.

Week 3 - more nausea, more aversion to wine/beer, still v hungry, late period!! BFP test!!

I still feel like AF is due any second - not so much cramping but a dull ache...and I have been quite gassy from both ends (sorry TMI!!)

We are going for a meal tonight to celebrate our anniversary and the fact that I have become the designated driver for the next 8 monts or so :D

Edited to add - I missed out that I have had a 'fluttering' heart for the last few days too - mustn't forget that when I go to see the doc.

    MFD,

Thanks so much for taking the time to post all of that infomration. Really very kind of you.

I have bought myself the Poundland 3 in a box variety just in case they are needed this month.

Wow, you did have a lot of symptoms there didn't you. Yes, make sure you mention the fluttering heart to the doc.

Can't say I have any feelings like yours at all, although I appreciate we are all different.

I had the sorest boobs for a few weeks before AF arrived last month, but only a few sore days leading up to this month (due 4 July).

Have a great anniversary dinner. What a thing to have to celebrate now.

Just come back from lunch with a friend I haven't seen for 18 months who is due in about 3 weeks. She looks amazing and I am soooooo pleased for her. Going to catch up again next week if she is still up to it.

MFD, that's wonderful news for you. I'm genuinely really pleased (funny how it's easier to feel pleased for a stranger....) Best of luck with it all, enjoy the new-style BD - hope it's even better than usual!

Sorry never tried one. IMO they are only suitable if you know more or less to the day when your AF is due and your cycle length doesn't vary.
I couldn't see myself using an early test as one month I could be earlier than the last but its more usual for me lately to be anywhere from 1-5 days later than the month before.

    Sorry I couldn't be more helpful :o

Congrats MFD, especially pleased for you as we were on the same CD. I am now on CD2 - Ho hum. Guess I shouldn't be too dissapointed as it was only the first cycle we had tried and it improves the stats for someone else!
