Our first child cost us many thousands with ivf etc, when trying for number two we followed the advice on this website
http://www.marilynglenville.com/infertility.htm
and got ourselves a little freebie - how moneysaving was that?!
seriously though, i've read about everything there is out there and this is simple sensible advice.
best of luck to everyone.0 -

I've just found this thread (hurrah) and am ttc too! I'm going to see the docs about my weight next week as I know I am underweight and worry that has contributed to my mental cycles and may affect my chances to conceive. So if anyone has any advice to fatten me up, please do share.
I'm interested to see that your guys are taking vitamins too - I'm going to go to the chemist tomorrow and see what he could start taking - so any further advice on that would be grand.
We are so keen to have a baby, but are trying not to put too much pressure on ourselves and see how things go.
It is hard though when you see people (my sister for one) comes off the pill after 10 years on it and falls pregnant almost immediately.
Anyway, good luck to you all.

Ive started taking Senatogen (spelling?) but theres also Pregnacare..both have various vitamins/folic acid etc in them for TTC, when pregnant and breastfeeding

I took pregnacare as my fertility doctor said to take a supplement. It didn't agree with me though, made my headaches more frequent and painful. I now just take folic acid everyday.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi alison. Could you please pm me details of this ovulation kit, or post here if you prefer. Can it be used more than once?
My consultant has said if we aren't pregnant by the summer he is going to get us some help but I really would prefer it to happen naturally. Or as naturally as it can
Thanks
Oh and congrats on the pink bump! :T
Hiya x
This is the kit I bought CLICK
It is a lot of money and it only comes with 7 sticks and they don't sell the sticks seperately - However after 2 years TTCing its the best money I have ever spent.
The ebay ones are difficult to read and I was never quite sure if I was OVing or not. My GP had just referred us for fertility input and hubby was booked in for a sperm test when we got our BFP so we were very lucky indeed.
Sending you all lots of baby dust x

Iv'e done a little research during my time of ttc and have found that a false negative can be quite common. Lots of reasons for it, the main one being you are testing too early. I try to wait until I am 5-7 days late before I do one.
I'd say to do another one in a few days.
If its still negative but you are still unsure or worried after then go and see your GP.

Can I join you?
Just started TTC with my fiance.I have 4 from my marriage and he doesn't have any.I've been having some weird cycles lately so bought the clearblue fertility monitor to help pinpoint ovulation(I did a trial with this 2 years ago and loved it)..even though it's expensive it works better for me than ovulation sticks.I always start testing way too early...at around 7 dpo

Me and my partner have been trying to conceive for about 3 years and nothing happened yet, I have a 10 year old boy from previous relationship and i am 28 years old i have had blood tests they came back fine and also had ultrasound scan as i get terrible pains around ovulation time, it is absolute agony and actually feel like im in labour the pain is that bad. The doctors have just said its ovulation pain which some women do get, but my problem is that i dont want my partner any where near me on those days. And dont want to go down the turkey baster route.0

Hi Naomi
My DH and I decided to use the so called 'turkey baster' route as he suffered from depression and had an extremely low s@x drive. We wanted to start a family so gave it a go! We also used the ovulation strips bought v cheaply off eBay.
The very first time we tried, I became pregnant but unfortunately miscarried. After a few months we tried again and conceived yet again after the first attempt! I now have a 6 month beautiful baby girl (immaculately conceived lol).
Good luck and best wishes to you all.0 -
Thanks "iggle piggle", I have decided to have a really good go at it over the next few months and just try and suffer the pains, but it makes my oh feel awful if it is hurting me. Then if nothing has happened may have to go down the turkey baster route, also we run our own business and never seem to have time etc or just bloody knackered but desparately want to have another baby asap, as we have been together 6 and a half years now so its not something we are just jumping into.0
