I'm hoping to start TTC in the next few months. I'm turning 36 soon so its time! I'm trying to put weight on.. I hope finishing off the christmas choccys will do the trick, but I do struggle to put weight on and I've been half a stone underweight for around 5 years now.
I've started taking Boots Pregnancy Mum to be plus capsules.. but they are massive. I gag everytime I have one and they are giving me indigestion! Can anyone recommend a nice small tablet/capsule that gives me all the things I need?
Happy new year everyone!£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
Hiya x
Just thought I would say that I am happy to answer any TTC questions if I can - We are expecting are first babt in Feb after 2 years TTCing and 1 M/C - I had a very irregular cycle and didn't OV every month.
Got my BFP by using a clear digi ovulation kit - My advice - Buy one and save yourselves months / years of misery. Don't mess around with the cheapy ebay ones.
I also boosted hubby up with fruit and veggies!
Stopped hubby doing any DIYing - sorry if thats TMI.
Then we BD'ed on smiley face day - had a break and then BD'ed the day after.
Got our BFP !
Yipeee
Good Luck to you all and wishing you all lots of luck for 2008.

Good luck everyone!X

Hi alison. Could you please pm me details of this ovulation kit, or post here if you prefer. Can it be used more than once?
My consultant has said if we aren't pregnant by the summer he is going to get us some help but I really would prefer it to happen naturally. Or as naturally as it can
Thanks
Oh and congrats on the pink bump! :T:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi Everyone ! I really want to give you my tips on getting pregnant because this 100% worked for me after a very frustrating 11 months of trying and I am only 20 years old, but I am SO HAPPY to now be 10 weeks pregnant and keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes well! Hope this helps because I know how painful TTC can be...
1. Buy 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility - Toni Weschler' - this book absolutely is what I attribute getting pregnant to. It made me so aware of my body that I felt completely in touch with everything my body did during each cycle.
2. Track your Basal Body Temperature AND your Cervical Mucus - your CM is so important in getting pregnant and should be encouraged with preseed if you suffer from a lack of fertile CM.
3. Work out exactly when you ovulate by using BBT, CM and Ovulation Predictor Kits (just the cheap sticks from accessdiagnostics.co.uk, no need for an expensive kit). I had a short luteal phase so I ovulated around 7 days prior to my period turning up - not long enough to sustain a pregnancy.
4. Take Vitamin B6 (1000 x RDA) if you have a short luteal phase - from the second month of taking it I was ovulating on days 14-16 (perfect) and producing fantastic CM, along with feeling better in myself.
5. Take irregular months off - I got pregnant in a month we decided to take a break from concentrating hugely on temps etc. I knew my body so well that I could predict Ovulation form my CM only so we still had sex on fertile days, but I just relaxed alot more that month.

We've decided not to get ovulation kits etc just yet, my OH feels that theres too much pressure on us both. I dont want to take the fun out of sex etc just yet lol! If nothing happens within about 6 months i ll look into it more then, for now well keep working out when i should be ovulating and have sex more around that time.
Ive been getting advise off a different site, on a different discussion board esp for ttc etc. Didnt realise there were so many helpful people on here for ttc though!

I am taking Pregnacare ones. I am not sure of the size of the Boots ones, but these are ok for me. The packs themselves are not sealed, so I suppose you could open and see the size for yourself.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hello all
I've just found this thread (hurrah) and am ttc too! I'm going to see the docs about my weight next week as I know I am underweight and worry that has contributed to my mental cycles and may affect my chances to conceive. So if anyone has any advice to fatten me up, please do share.
I'm interested to see that your guys are taking vitamins too - I'm going to go to the chemist tomorrow and see what he could start taking - so any further advice on that would be grand.
We are so keen to have a baby, but are trying not to put too much pressure on ourselves and see how things go.
It is hard though when you see people (my sister for one) comes off the pill after 10 years on it and falls pregnant almost immediately.
Anyway, good luck to you all.
