Hi ya all. Maggie May, I am so so sorry to read about your sad news. I'm sure that there's not much we can say to make you feel much better at the moment, but if you need people to talk to you're welcome to PM me, or leave messages on here. Have a good old chat with your OH and I'm sure you will be fine. You need each other at a time like this xxxx
Icka, welcome to the group. Good luck TTC. :)
Kathy72, I think we will prob be testing at around the same time again! Although last month I was on for 30 days, so I'm on day 19 in my cycle, so really not sure when AF will come! Since my coil came out I think my body is still trying to sort itself out. Although having said that I have had some back pain, boobs aching and a bit of pain in one side, so I'm guessing that they're all signs that AF is on its way again, oh joy!
    xx

Yep - after 4 years it becomes soul destroying....especially when you've just come back from the docs having been told that you've hit early menopause rather than pregnancy! Somehow I suspected the hot flushes weren't the sign I wanted.

Sorry if I sound miserable but am just sitting here crying like a fool. Haven't broken the news to OH yet - he's desperate for kids. I even got it into my head half an hour ago that he would ditch me for someone who can give him kids!

All I can say is if you've thought about it, don't leave it too long or you may find you run out of time like me.

    All the best xx

    Maggiemaybe,

I had to sign in and tel you about an old friend of mine, she was mid 30's and was told by two GPs that she was going through the menopause, hot sweats, no periods etc...this went on for 2 years, only to go back to GP feeling unwell and thought about asking for HRT, she discovered she was 10 weeks pregnant, it wasn't a miracle, it can happen to you, don't give up, I would seriously consider getting a second/third opinion especially if you are under 40.

Maggiemaybe I'm so sorry to hear that, you'll be in my thoughts. I can't imagine the pain you're feeling, I can probably sympathise a little with you as I've been told it will be very very hard to have children, but hey, stranger things have happened and I hope it still happens to you (you never know) I just hope you and your OH are coping ok x

Well tonight OH takes his home fertility test, after managing to refrain from sexual activity since Sunday (the longest he's managed ever, he says lol). We've had the test for months and this is the first time he's managed to follow the instructions and 'hold it in' for 3 days. We are not expecting anything conclusive though but he sees me doing my ovulation tests and I think he just wants a go at testing something!

Next month sees a trip to the doctor as it will be 12 months since first TTC, my cycle is still random and any ovulation tests I do don't show anything up really (tried urine and saliva ones), I get an indication of ovulation for 1 day then nothing and the instructions says it should appear for a few days. Sometimes is says no ovulation at all then AF makes an appearance so surely it did happen but it never got picked up? CM doesn't seem to change an awful lot so can't tell by that either, what a kerfuffle! Have been charting for a few months now and it really does all seem random, no pattern whatsoever between cycle length, when it shows I 'might' ovulate, when I get a sign I 'might have' ovulated and time until next AF... nothings the same each month. Doctor sent me for 'Day 21' blood tests a couple of times however as my cycle was all over the place that obviously showed no ovulation.

My cycle since first TTC last July has been anywhere between 6-8 weeks, once it was 5. I had been on the pill for 10 years so I knew it would take time to come out of my system and my body to settle down but never expected it to take this long really. Although I did have some spotting yesterday and day before, which were cycle days 25 & 26 so maybe this is the first time I will get a CD28 AF. The only thing I've noticed a pattern with up to now is that when AF comes, I get spotting one day on, one day off, one day on again, one day off then AF starts properly. So I will wait and see if she comes, if not it was some random spotting and I never expected it this early, next AF due mid-July really. Although thinking about it I am really grouchy at the moment so it probably is AF, in a strange way I would be pleased as it means my cycles are hopefully getting shorter.

Wow just realised how much I just rambled on there, think I'm just re-confirming everything thats going on with my cycle at the moment so it makes sense in my head before we see doctor in a couple of weeks.

I'm pleased for you miss_pink. Good luck with it!

Well I had BFN this morning

I'm now on CD29 and no sign of AF. I just couldn't wait any longer!

Going to try and wait til Saturday morning now which will be CD31. I just hope the pill hasn't messed me up too much.

    Morning all,

Miss Pink - congrats on your news re your appointment with the hospital. hopw all goes well.

Hello to everyone and welcome to the newbies.

Saw the doc last night, telling him OH and I are TTC now and how I am worried about my weight. He said he could have helped with me with medication re the weight, but as we are now talking babies, all that goes out the window, which I fully understand.

Best thing he said - just move more, more exercise. Don't worry about the food, just more exercise. So, i am going to take his advice, just not sure how to fit in at the moment, might be walks at lunchtime i think.

said he can't wait to see me so i can tell him 'i have something cooking'.

    baby dust to all
