Can anyone tell me if any vitamins or supplements are NOT supposed to taken when pg / TTC?

I think I remember something about vitamin A and my regular mulitvit has this in so I'm thinking I need to stop taking it!

Yes, stop taking it. You can buy things like pregnacare which is suitable for TTC. Or zipvit has 90 tablet of pregnancy vitamins for £3.99 http://www.zipvit.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?shopingpage&cartnumber=2137c

You need some Vitamin A (should be able to get enough from your diet) - but too much can cause birth defects. Some medical skin creams and ACNE drugs also contain Vitamin A so need to check that out.
