Good luck with your repeat test Nikki, as you said, sometimes people get a BFN when it is early on....give it some more time then repeat test. The same thing happened to me last month, I had gone 30 days into my cycle without sign of AF. (When I normally come on between 21-25 days)......then AF arrived on day 31 with avengance. Grr!

I'm sorry. I knew I sounded a bit off but it still hurt a bit. I already have a DD age 6 so I know how lucky I am but it doesn't feel any easier. :o

Hi SC - sorry, I didn't mean to so sound bitter - we're on the same side!! I have heard secondary infertility can be just as painful to deal with - lots of luck!

So anyway now I'm just hoping. I was unable to have the baby before (), and just really really want to have one now. The decision I made before was the hardedst I have ever had to make but it was for the best. I do worry now that if I am unable to have a baby in the future I have lost my only chance.

I wasn't sure whether I could write this on here and I hope people can understand. The decision I made when I was young was not taken lightly, and there were very good (medical) reasons for it.

Hi Sarah. I'm glad you feel you can confide in us with this. Personally I think there are a whole plethora of reasons why somebody may terminate a pregnancy, and even if they are not for medical reasons they can still be the right choice. And it doesn't mean that you are any less "entited" to a baby later. I have 2 friends who both had an abortion for reasons that were right for them, one seems to have dealt with it very well. The other is ready to ttc now and is petrified that god or whoever else won't allow her another chance. She is still distraught over what she did, although she accepts that it was the right choice. She hasn't told anyone other than me what happened, not even her husband (the abortion was with a previous partner). I really feel sorry for her that she feels it's her dirty secret.

My point is, that I think that it is common to have those feelings about losing your only chance, but I really don't imagine it would be the case. We're all waiting patiently here, and if it takes you some time, then please don't feel you are accountable for it, it's happening to lots of us. Big hugs.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

  • Sarah Joanne - we all need to do what is right for us at whatever time it is, experience makes us stronger and richer people. We are all here because we have niggling doubts about our ability to conceive (or to get pregnant within the 'timescale' we allocate ourselves) - there are tons of women out there who are facing this without support

I wish you and everyone as much luck and baby dust as I am praying for for myself....

    ...well almost as much :o;)

    Hi

Just popping in to let you all know I am still here. I've been keeping up to date with all your messages, just had nothing to report this end.

Last cycle was 5wks, I am 2wks into this one so nothing to get excited about yet! I have a job interview next week so I am focusing on that at the moment anyway.

    Good Luck All

Jiblets, Helen and MFD thank you very much. I had a real hard time with the whole thing but wasn't sure whether a TTC thread was the right place to bring it up really.

I really appreciate your support and kind words - best of luck to you all!

It's really good that you feel able to talk about your experience and be open with your feelings. I have only recently started posting on this forum and have found everyone to be really friendly and non judgemental...it is a really good place to come and share what you are going through at the moment...
