Hi shelly - good point but i think i just checked too soon, saw one line and because I'd already had a negative a few days earlier i just assumed. It was a couple of minute later that I noticed the 2nd line so i think it was about 3 mins like the box says - maybe 4. But it wouldnt give a positive result would it, even if you left it 5 or 10 mins???

...it can - I had a negative 'turn into' a positive about 3 months ago (it was what made us finally decide that we were ready to start TTC)

When it happened to me the result was negative when I first looked, so I stuck the test in my handbag (was at work) and when I looked again, about 10 mins later, there was a 2nd line. I wasn't pregnant but as DH said 'you would start buying nappies on the strength of the first test'

I was using a boots POAS type test.

But you have been pregnant before, twice, you will know much more about what it feels like to be pregnant than me :o

If you checked within the timescale, and you are feeling like you have morning sickness again, you probably are pg...

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hey Roxie - well congratulations! And I hope you are right! I know if it were me I'd be doing another test to be completely sure! In fact, knowing me I'd probably have already gone and bought 2 tests and done them both to be doubly, doubly sure!!

Well, just dashed off to sainsburys very nervous and did a test in their toilets (delightful - i know!) and it was positive. Followed it to the letter so looks like thats a definite positive. :)

Hi all. Came on early this morning. It's pretty heavy and very painful. I'm still teary, but hoping that'll pass by tomorrow. This happened a few months ago too, and I'm hoping it's not going to be a regular occurance. I'm starting to panic now that these are chemical pregnancies, not late periods. And even if it's not, I find my job quite stressful, and I can't see how we're ever going to conceive if my cycles are all over the place. Hubby is starting to panic it's all his "fault" and overall we're having another bad patch with it.
I think I've decided relaxing is the way to go. I'm going to have some massages, join my friend at her belly dancing class and whatever else I can think of to CHILL OUT!!!

    Hi guys and girls
I'm not TTC but have a friend who is so check this board from time to time - sorry youre having such a rubbish time of it Jiblets, hope you don't mind me asking but what is a 'chemical' pregnancy? - prob being stupid but I've never heard this term? x

A chemical pregnancy is when you do technically concieve and may have positive tests, but you miscarry so quickly that it may appear to be a late, heavy period. Hope that helps.

Huge congrats Roxie! Here's hoping you start a run of good luck for us all...
