  • Hey all

This is only our 1st month TTC. I honestly didn't think I would be quite emotional already. My AF is due on friday and friday is coming too quick for my liking.

I prefer the not knowing that I'm not pregnant IYKWIM.

OH is just as bad as me but I'm trying to put a brave face on it for his sake, for some reason he has it in his mind that he can't have children:(

I know what you mean rottiemiss. Every time we aren't pregnant I get disappointed that it hasn't happened. OH get's upset that he has proved again that he can't give me a baby.
And yes, the "i'm probably not pregnant but I might be" is a lot more pleasant than the "not pregnant again this month then".

Thanks everyone for your nasty opinions about the doctors questions. It's good to have backup that it's not me being oversensitive or unreasonable.

I'm definately going to have a note put on my file that I don't want to see Dr. Plonker again - I don't think I'd trust a word that he said after this week. I may even drop a quick letter into the surgery saying how disappointed I was with my treatment. I hate to think about people like him getting away with it because nobody likes to make the fuss by complaining officially. A quick conversation with various neighbours has revealed that a lot of them refuse to see him. Professionals like that need sorting out. I've got a late start in work tomorrow, so perfect time to get it done.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Good on you Jiblets. People ought to complain more - that way things would get done more.

And if it means someone has a word with him about his awful bedside manner then at least maybe the next woman who goes in to see him doesn't hav ethe hard time that you've had then at least something good may have come out of the experience :T

Good luck with the letter, the new Doc and the TTC! :cool2:

  • Morning all :hello:

I don't suppose having a HUGE bl00min coldsore is a sign of very early (or even impending) pregnancy is it? I had a bit of a tingle yesterday which I used the cream for and woke up this morning looking like the elephant man  certainly not going to help me in my quest for BD'ing :o not an attractive look at all.

Went to stay with my friend last night who is 24 week pg and managed to resist all urges to tell her that DH and I are TTC, she is one of my closest friends so I managed not to feel jealous of her, just extremely happy but I have heard of another 3 pregnancies in the last week which just make me green with envy :o

We went to see SATC at the cinema last night - highly recommended for a girly night :D

I'm 20 and me and my fiance have been trying to concieve for about 2 years now. I know I'm still young and I have all the time in the world to have a baby, but it's hard on me because I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago after having many years of painful, unpredictable and extremely heavy periods. I would love a baby now, but I'm not worrying too much as I know I'm only young.
My OH keeps telling me to go to the fertility clinic, but I won't go until I've lost weight, that's all the doctor will tell me anyway, I've been before.
It's also hard to lose weight with PCOS because of the insulin levels in your body, I'm currently on medication for this. So when the Dr tells me to go away and lose weight (that's actually how he worded it) it get's me down because it's so hard, but I've stuck at it and I have lost a stone and a half so far :)

So anyway, that's my little story so far, and I thought I'd come here to share my thoughts, problems and just talk in general about what's happening.
It's hard to find someone to talk to about this stuff :)

    Getting Married October 3rd 2009!!

  • Hello ladies (& chap!) and a wave from a beach cafe in Florida :) I don't have this connection long enough to catch up on the thread but thought I'd update you.

I'm now on day 62 since my last AF and a bit baffled. Tests on day 44 and 48 (I think) were negative. I've never missed 1 period before nevermind 2 (due todayish) and can't do much till I get home next week. No symptoms either apart from feeling very bloated despite eating very little.

Could those earlier tests have been too early?

    Hope everyone is well. x

    Thanks all for messages.

DW went to see the doctor yesterday. In contrast to Jiblets bad experience - sorry to hear about that, i'd definitely complain - she saw a really nice female doctor who has now referred her to the hospital for more tests. While she said the lack of AF could be stress related she thought it best for her to be checked out as soon as possible. We're really pleased :Tas we've only been trying 6 months and had feared they might make us wait a further 6 months before doing anything. Apparently though i have to go and see the doctor as well to make sure my little troops are in fighting order - i avoid going to the doctor at the best of times, the thought of having to go and 'produce' isn't making it more appealing! Still needs must...
