Apparently though i have to go and see the doctor as well to make sure my little troops are in fighting order - i avoid going to the doctor at the best of times, the thought of having to go and 'produce' isn't making it more appealing! Still needs must...

Oh had to do that more than once - take a tip from us and do not choose a Friday or Monday to provide a sample. They were so busy that they let the sample get cool, which affected the result!

Just wanted to say that I catch up on this thread every day just to see how people are doing. Isn't it strange how much you can care about the fate of complete strangers?
I am not ttc. I have a 2 yr old and am expecting in July but wanted to offer hope. For all sorts of reasons we didn't think that we were gong to be able to have children but our first was conceived after 15 months and our second after 10.
I remember the pain and frustration of ttc very well but know that it has made me treasure my child and bump in a way that people who conceive straight away will never really understand.
Baby dust to all trying and I'll go back to lurking and worrying about you all now!:rolleyes:Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet...0 -

My hubby had to do his sample twice too as they let the first one cool. He would recommend not doing the sample until you are at the hospital (use toilets as close to the path unit as possible....and yes they were public loos he had to do his business in) Then tell them its urgent the sample gets tested immediately.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. Hi all - regular lurker - occassional poster here.
Just wanted to share the good news that I'm pregnant!
I had my coil out in Feb and so have been trying since then.
Just a bit shocked at the minute as I did a negative test a few days ago. However, I had a wave of nausea earlier whilst doing my excercise dvd and thought i'd just make sure as we have a friends 30th bash this weekend.
Well, the one line for not preg came up - i thought oh well and went about my business. A few minutes later I glanced at the stick and another line had appeared.
All I can say is that I'm still a little shocked but I must be happy as I have this urge to tell all and sundry. Its abit of a strange feeling as we have two boys and have ummed and arrred about whether our family is complete and even whilst trying I was having my doubt days where I thought we should stay as we are - money, practicalities, 2 very bad pregnancies previously etc. I actually said to other half when we had our last negative that I wanted to stop trying until after our summer holiday (very bad sickness last time!) and probably umm and arrr some more about whether our family was complete or not.
I hope no one thats trying finds my attitude offensive - I am happy but liek i said, i had been having my doubt days.
However, the big smile on my face now tells me we made the right decision.
Sending lots of luck to all you ladies and gents ttc.

I really don't want to come across as a bad guy and I really hope you get the result you want but reading the above worried me. Most tests tell you not to look at the test after X amount of time, please double check that the few minutes later you looked at the test was in the alloted time.
I have to force myself not to look at pg tests until the time it says to.
Please, don't take this the wrong way. I really do hope you were in the time frame and wish you all the best.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
AF arrived last night
probably not going to be on here for a while as we have decided to just 'forget' about TTC and have some fun! I was over analysing/stressing a bit...ok a lot...and it was becoming counter productive IYSWIM!
Wishing everyone all the luck in the world and I hope to be back soon with some positive news (and to hear all of your positive news too!)
lots and lots of baby dust!

Hi shelly - good point but i think i just checked too soon, saw one line and because I'd already had a negative a few days earlier i just assumed. It was a couple of minute later that I noticed the 2nd line so i think it was about 3 mins like the box says - maybe 4. But it wouldnt give a positive result would it, even if you left it 5 or 10 mins???MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j
