Welcome to all new challengers, I find this is a really good way of making you think about what you spend, even if like me you don't always hit the mark. After all it is for no one else's benefit but your own. I actually started on Saturday with £9.50 spent in the market and £24.31 in Sainsbos. I will need to get some extras during the week but should cone in under budget this week.
    Good luck everyone x

Oh dear...just found out that I may need to move out soon, that means emptying my freezer and cupboards and also saving as much as possible as changing places always incurs some additional expenses. I will most likely pay more rent anywhere else so good spending habits will come in handy.

Spent £16 so far, got some fish, dates, yogurt, pasta and veg from tesco.

Back in for May at £350 please.

Off to a good start with £4.30 in butchers (chicken and liver for the dog!) plus a very reasonable £42.38 in Sainsbs.

Forgot to say last month, I used a tip from here and prepared and froze fresh carrots to reduce my throw-out rate! Worked really well and they are MUCH better than buying frozen carrots, which always taste of nothing to me.

Hi Guys, I have been missing in action due to work and adapting a vegan lifestyle since just before the New Year. So my priority has been more on quality and getting to grips with things, than saving the pennies. Although everything i have learned previously is pretty much ingrained, my monthly expenditure fluctuates depending on what i need or what new thing i'm wanting to try that month. Along with veganism, comes more ethically sourced and cruelty free toiletries, cleaning products and the likes, so i cant really stick to an exact budget until everything i currently have that's not animal and earth friendly have been replaced or an alternative found for it. I am also looking to reduce my waste as much as possible, though i don't think i'll ever be zero waste. I am trying though ... small changes and all that.

Hope you are all well xx

    Hi!

I'm vegan too and I've found buying cleaning stuff in big orders from biggreensmile.com really helps as they give you a discount and free shipping over certain amounts.
Also I totally recommend Ecozone as a brand, but especially the Eco Balls... £15 for 1000 washes! Just about the most MSE thing you can get I should think as well as being kind to the environment and animals!
