We have been shopping in a few different places and I have kept all the receipts and we are so far at £176.76. We have bought some stuff that will last longer than a month so I'm still feeling hopeful that we can manage under £300 this month. Our new house is so far from anywhere that we will only be going food shopping once a fortnight.

Hi, I'd like to join please. My meal planning has been AWOL recently and I am spending too much on food, but also having those 'What the * * are we going to have for dinner tonight?' , moments.
My target for the month is £250 for me, OH and two dogs.
£19.22 in Tesco and £50.54 in Lidl today; this is my once a fortnight shopping trip with DD. OH spent £1 on a pack of Bounties yesterday, so £70.76/250 so far.
Also, having had a look at some of the recipes on the thread, I will be incorporating them in the meal plan so would like to thank all of the people who have taken the time to contribute.

I am using the Spending Tracker app to keep track of my shopping spends. I have put the £250 budget in as Income so I can see how I'm doing. The great thing about Spending Tracker is that, because I always have my phone with me, I put the spend in immediately - if I have to wait until I get home and log into my spreadsheet, I sometimes forget!

    Hi,

Please can I join in with this challenge? We're planning on buying our first home soon and we waste so much food. I kept all of our food and toiletries receipts from April and we'd spent over £450 and there's only two of us and a dog!

I'd like to set a budget of £325 from 1st May to 1st June (small steps and all that). So far we've spent £58.31 topping up the freezer and cupboards. I've created a spreadsheet to keep track of it all - fingers crossed for May!

I've placed an order for fruit and veg on Saturday, but I'm going to bump it I think - I'm away the 11th, 12th and 13th.

    £35

It would make more sense to do it afterward I'm back I think.

But it would cut costs if I had the fruit to take with me on the train and for while I'm away.

I've got till Friday to decide...
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
