  • Time off at xmas is amazing! I worked in retail whilst studying for 7 years so used to work xmas eve and boxing day. Once I started working full time would have most of xmas / new year off it was amazing! I’m a teacher now so it is even better!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOOTSIT! I hope you have treated yourself to a lovely lie in and yummy birthday brunch.

This year we have my step sons until midday and then we are travelling a couple of hours to go to my family for xmas dinner. I am the same you skimper, Christmas growing up was always hectic and busy so I didn’t want it to just be the two of us! Last year was the first year we didn’t travel on xmas day and we said we were going to stop doing it. If I’m honest part of the reason was because I thought we would be in our new home with a baby by this Christmas… and we have neither… however I am really excited to spend the day with my family again and my Dad was super happy when he found out.

CCJ, how organised are you! This is my aim for next year haha. I am sorry you are in so much pain. I reckon a few drinks will help ease that hehe

Well I’ve had confirmation yesterday that my general is booked for the 18th Dec. FF predicts I will ovulate on the 17th! I am super nervous about it but glad that it will be out of the way soon.
  • I'm sure you'll be glad to get it over with before Christmas PKK.
Took another ovulation strip today and it's positive! So happy to know I am ovulating lol...

  • mini rant:
OH has been away with work this week - and it's been fertile week of course.
We BD before he went and he's back tomorrow so we'll hopefully try again then but really peeved. This is the second month that he's been away around that time.
    sigh....

  • CCJ all the 'yasss' to knowing you are ovulating! I spent a few months wondering if I was and was thrilled that blood tests showed that I was!

Aunty-Pickle ah that is so frustrating isn't it! We had a couple of months where sickness hit us completely during fertile week. I realised that it makes sense why they say it can take a year though, as real life means you just sometimes aren't able to BD at the right time!

CD9 here so started the day with BDing and back to our BD focus the next 8 days. We have to BD for the last time on CD17 as OH is having his test on CD20 and you have to abstain for 2-7 days but as CD18 is predicted ovulation day we are only allowing 2 days!

I have decided that this weekend is a 'get my sh*t together for xmas' weekend! I am going to brave the local shopping centre tomorrow morning... wish me luck! hahaha

Thank you for the birthday well wishes - had a lovely time although starting to feel a bit old:rotfl:

CCJ yay for ovulating! Fingers crossed you catch it and are lucky! I would carry on with TTC as 6months seems such a long time to wait - do you think your op could be sooner?

Aunty-Pickle - big hugs. That must be so frustrating as it is such a small window. Is your OH away a lot with work? It must be hard as it makes it frustrating. Fingers crossed though that you still managed to catch it!

    1940s did you test?!

I had my work Christmas do yesterday followed by an evening do with the OHs work - I do not feel well today :( annoyingly I was driving so it isn’t even a hangover! We had Chinese at the second meal and I think something there has really made me ill! Trying to wish myself better as we fly to NZ tomorrow

I love everyone’s plans for Christmas! I am going to miss being at home with family! I can’t grumble though as I am really excitied to go away!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday :j

Wootsit, I reckon I’m only 6/7DPO at the mo so prob too early. Might test in the morning. I tested on Thursday but that was out of sheer impatience more than owt else. I thought I had a faint line but think it was probably an evap line as I left it later than I should to check.

BUT still no sign of AF and I’m still getting nausea and I had a bit of spotting a few days ago too (which really panicked me but it only lasted a couple of hours).

Had our works xmas do last night, I'm shattered today. I only had a few glasses of wine so not hungover just tired. Managed to go present shopping though and got lots of people ticked off.

We managed to bd 2 days leading up to fertile week then 2 days ago, planning on tonight and then over the next few days. CD 14 today so hopefully we've timed everything right.
  • Wootsit - have an AMAZING adventure in NZ! Enjoy every second and make sure you do the bungee! (I did it in Aus and it is an amazing experience, would love to do the NZ AJ Hackett one!).
