All your Christmases sound so lovely, last year we went to my OHs dads for Christmas breakfast and my parents for the rest of the day with the promise we would switch them around this year and alternate. I couldn't get through Christmas at the in laws without a drink and obviously we didn't know if I would be able to drink so this year we're going to his dads and my parents during the day but we're home for dinner and the rest of the evening.
I am very confused as to when I ovulated, I got a solid Smiley on the CB digital early in my cycle, and about a week later a positive one step cheapie, not sure which to trust more, Cheapie is what I've used before with no luck so I'm doubting the validity of that but the CB stick was the faintest line and the monitor said it was a peak reading.
I'm now in the TWW though my Ovia app said I could test Saturday (using the CB reading) which was a BFN.0 -
I have no idea what's happened this cycle.
According to my Fertility Friend app, I haven't ovulated this month..
the latest day I've ever ovulated is Day 18 and obviously, I'm past that now (most frequently it's on Day 14/15). Obviously it is entirely possible that I haven't ovulated - especially having only one ovary - but I'm so used to seeing an obvious temperature shift (indicating ovulation) that I've been a bit upset by it. Trying not to over-think it...
My temperatures have been all over the place - but I have got hay-fever so am blocked up and haven't been sleeping as well. Hoping it's just that.
Having said all that, I'm trying not to symptom spot (!) but my boobs have been tender the last few days and I'm trying not to hope too much....
sigh!!!!...
Determined not to test until Monday (when AF is due)
Hope everyone is ok

Fingers crossed you played AP, and was just the hay fever messing up the temps.
Can I be moved to the 2 week wait please? Fertile week was over yesterday. We managed to BD 4 times this week so hopefully covered ourselves pretty well.0 -

Aunty-Pickle what made you emigrate to NZ? Do you like it? Not sleeping well and being blocked up definitely affects your temps so that will definitely have contributed!
My xmas pjs are on and I have a pile of gifts to wrap after I've made tea. The christmas tree lights will be turned on, a christmas film put on the TV and I may even treat myself to a gin too!0 -
I’m very jealous AP. I’d love to visit NZ it looks absolutely beautiful. One of my dads cousin’s lived there a while back and his photos we’re envy inducing to say the least!
I’m getting very close to testing time now. I’ve had lower back and right thigh pain today. Can’t quite describe it, almost like cramping and generally just uncomfortable. Wondered if it was implantation. It’s around the right time anyway as I’m either 8/9DPO (still not sure if I OV’d sun 2nd or mon 3rd). Ovia tells me to test on Sunday and Flo is predicting AF in 8 days. Might test on Thursday with the frer I’ve got.
I feel like I’m just counting down days to things now! Testing, house signing and last shift at work before Christmas! :rotfl:0 -
Enjoy the gin PKK!

hubby and I visited NZ on holiday years ago and said if we ever had kids we'd love to bring them up here. It's a more laid-back way of life. There isn't the same emphasis on material possessions - having a fancy car or nice house. You have a job to earn money and you hope that it is one you enjoy but the main priority is family (or "whanau" - the idea of extended family, not just blood related). We like that.
Hubby's work in the UK often meant he travelled away for weeks at a time - there was one period of 4 months when he was home for just 3 weekends. When we were thinking of starting a family I said I didn't want it to be like I was a single parent so he agreed to apply for other jobs.
When I was pregnant with J, hubby had an interview (via Skype!) and got the job here!Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Hello from NZ!
Aunty-pickle - we did pack some summer stuff but my case was mixed, currently regretting this as it is so hot!! I was expecting 20degrees and have managed to burn through factor 50 today! This is our second trip here - we love the way of life too and would love to live herevery jealous! We live in Cheshire too! Beautiful but not quite as nice as here! We are currently travelling around Coromandel before moving around the North Island!
1940s I think I would have caved and tested haha! The 2WW seems to go so slowly! Fingers crossed it is implantation!
PKK I am missing the whole tree lighting/present wrapping this year - I am making the hubby put Home Alone on in a min as I want to feel Christmassy!
CCJ - I sympathise with the eating! I have just gone crazy in the last week and can see I am looking a bit fluffy! OH said not to bother until we get home but in 3 weeks I will be huge! I am going to try and take it easy and stop eating crap!
I have given up temping as I keep waking up at crazy times! Just going to go for lots of BDing and hope for the best:D
I hope everyone is ok!0 -
