Zeni - glad you hear you are feeling more chilled. Sorry you have caught a bug though! I caught one a few weeks ago and it wiped me out for a week! This silly weathers always brings out the nasty germs doesn't it. How are you feeling now?
I thought my cycles hadn't been the same since coming off the pill but I've just checked and it was 30 days, then 30 days, so it actually has been regular but I am aware this is only two cycles so it could still go abit crazy yet! I am CD31 today, so I am expecting AF any day now, although Ovia says Thursday. I hate that feeling of just waiting for it to turn up!0 -
So I've been using glow and ovia and estimated my cycle length based on roughly what it used to be. I started testing with opk from Sunday to see if I could work out if the fertile window was roughly correct, got a positive today
does this mean I'll ovulate tomorrow? Managed to BD today so fingers crossed!
Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
Hey pretty much better thanks just always seem to get the bugs floating around! Know what you mean hun. I'm quite impressed how accurate ovia is ad its nice to keep track of whats happening.
fingers crossed selement, I swear I read somewhere its the enxt day but I'm never sure!
CD1 for me. Another month of fun.. ah well. It is what it is. 11 months of being off the pill and still nothing.Swagbuckling since Aug 2016 - Earnings so far.. £55.0 -
I have decided that hormonal contraception is the work of the devil. On and off over the years I've had the implant, injection and 2 types of pill. Only one female doctor thought to tell me (I was 22 or 23 at the time) that the method I had chosen was fine to come off and conceive without undue delay (it was the implant).
I do just wish there was more information out there to say that with so many forms, there is a good chance you will take longer to conceive when you come off it. We hear about the 1% who get pregnant through their contraception (there is a word for these women...), but not that there is a large number who do experience a delay, until you Google it or ask a doctor.
I have said that regardless of the 'benefits' to my condition I will not use hormonal contraception again in this lifetime!0 -
Hi everyone. Thanks for the lists Freddie.
Glad you are feeling better Zeni.
Today is CD23 for me, 10DPO. I'm going a bit mad as per usual during the tww. We have booked our IVF consultation so hopefully we'll be able to get things moving after Christmas. I'm quite daunted by it all but at least I feel like we're actually doing something.
My experience with hormonal contraception has been quite different. I was on the pill for a very long time, then I had an implant. I didn't have a natural cycle for 15 years! We conceived our first child two months after getting the implant removed, on the first month of trying. I didn't go back onto hormonal contraception after giving birth as I knew we wanted more children, alas things have been far from as straightforward this time. We did realise the first time that we were quite lucky but this secondary infertility has still been a bit of a shock.0 -
I'm sorry you've had problems second time round, Slothsocks. I was told the implant was the best thing to come off and conceive easily, not that that was a concern for me at the time. And that's the only information I ever got, so I'm not surprised you were OK. However I ended up bleeding through it, as in every single day, after a few years so I won't use it in future. Shame really!
I'd had a dose, one dose, of the injection in the year before we started TTC, and the GP pulled a bit of a grimace when I went in with what turned out to be endo, and explained it could take me years now, all because of that one shot a year ago. I wish the nurse had explained that to me at the time, I was then late 20s, married, no children.0 -
Aw, Lavender I'm sorry you weren't given good advice. I've heard the injection can take ages to leave your system. They shouldn't give it out without checking!0
