Thinking of you Midget - not an expert but I thought that in the early days the HCG levels can vary so much from woman to woman and the tests can give different results for different people, and it can all be down to ovulating at different times not a pregnancy failing. Really shocked your doctor said that to you - not very sensitive or helpful! Hoping for the best for you today xx


as for me, I may as well be out as I have had a horrible sickness bug the last few days and it fell right over ovulation so have basically missed it this month x

Hi all

Thanks for the wishes. Had second blood test today. Should get results early next week (gp mentioned Tuesday) so a weekend of lots of uncertainty

According to the Gp they look at the increase in Hcg and want to see the levels double.

Feeling so down about it all. My Sis announced earlier that she is pregnant again (just found out) weren't really trying. Made me realise that if this pregnancy doesn't work I am going to find next year very tough with my Sis due similar time to me and my Sis in law would have given birth a couple months earlier.

Gahh starting to think I am not strong enough for this, had to take the afternoon off cos it upset me so much.

I'm on cycle day 19, of a usual 28 day cycle. We had sex right over my fertile window. I have now got horrendous pains and cramps in my right hand side, to the point where I genuinely thought I might have to go to AnE earlier.

In theory it's way too early for my period. Any ideas what this could be?

Hi, I have been lurking for a few months, we have been trying since around May (well, more not preventing, but trying since august, however due to work stress & schedules & overtiredness we don't get to "try" very often!) I'm 38 and DH is 41, no kids

I have a 25 day cycle, this month right on schedule (monday) I had spotting then my period came on properly. However it only lasted 24 hours and nothing since (usually lasts 5 days)

Should I do a test? I sort of feel I had my period so don't be silly, but on the other hand it was so short!

Midget fingers firmly crossed for you!! Try and keep positive and do some visualisation of a developing baby in your belly (I found that really helped me in the beginning)

Peppacoin not really sure, possibly late OV (all be it more painful than normal) or any chance it was something like trapped wind?!

Hotcookie it might be worth a test even if it helps put your mind at ease one way or the other. Welcome hope your stay is short and sweet
