Hey Rachy. My OPKs (cheapies) were always positive for 2-3 days in a row so FF tended to play around with when Ov date truly was. When I temped this was strikingly obvious - temp rise always occurred a couple of days after my first +ve.

I always BD'd for at least 2 days afterwards just to be sure - it may just be that you have a long surge and are catching the beginning. Do you keep testing once you've had a +ve?

I usually test until a positive and have done it afterwards until it's negative again, as sometimes I get 2 days +

I must say my BDing is always plenty before but probably not enough afterwards so this time we are going the opposite way - I've not had a positive yet but expecting it tonight or tomorrow
  • I think I ovulated today (12th). We've had sex on the 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th, so am hoping we've hit the right dates this month. Fingers crossed!
  • I tested this morning and got a BFN. The first test was invalid and then I managed to force a little bit out to poas but it was BFN. I'm hoping it's just too early to show up or because I messed the tests up but maybe I'm just kidding myself. I'm still feeling really nauseous and my cervix is still high and soft which is certainly not usual if AF was due.

athensgeorgia invalid tests are so frustrating! Are you going to try again tomorrow? Are you temping?

I got a negative test the day before my BFP, so fingers crossed the same will happen for you.
  • I've just been to sainsburys and was tempted to buy one of their of tests but changed my mind. I'm gonna leave it a few days and see if AF stays away then maybe try again. I'm having a pretty rubbish day because of it.

I'm not temping just monitoring cm and cervix position so could even be out by a day or so or didn't OV at all for all I know. I was just really certain I'd be getting a BFP.

Sorry didn't get chance to get on yesterday!

I was wondering if anybody would like to take over the daily lists?
It is easier to do it from a laptop/computer but I normally do mine from my phone.

  • A question please ladies - when is the fertile window?

I have been using the Ovia app for 2 months and it seems to work the fertile window to be 3 days before ovulation, the day of ovulation and 2 days afterwards. However I have read elsewhere that 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation are better i.e starting much sooner and ending sooner. What do you tend to stick to?

Hey Peppa. There is indeed conflicting info, however I actually stayed more on the former unless I had absolute certainty I had ovulated. My OPKs were often positive for a couple of days so unless it was the months where I tracked BBT and saw a rise I wanted to keep going after to be sure I caught it.

To be honest I tried to combine both and do a few days before and a couple after!

on the subject of ovulation, I think I am ovulating today. I haven't done any tracking but noticed a lot of CM this morning, we last BD Saturday morning and will try to tonight & tomorrow.

I found an ovulation test this morning so have bought that today to do at about 2pm just to see if its near positive or not. I am getting a bit downhearted as think we may of missed it by only bd'ing the once so far, hoping the ovulation test will give me some kind of indication. xx
