You should go next time your there! It turns so slowly that you hardly even notice it but at night, the view was spectacular

It was more daunting watching the people jump off of the building and I wasn't brave enough for that ride at the top that Jerks you over the edge :rotfl:
The restaurant revolving wouldn't bother me, but those rides look terrifying....I'm not too good with heights tbh! A tour guide said to us if we went, not to put your bag on the floor as it'll end up the other side of the room lol! :rotfl: I probably wouldn't even have thought about that until I was like "oh b*gger, where's my bag?!"0 -

:rotfl: that happened to my friend! They have like circle/disc type thing on the outside...the part that's turning I suppose and she put her bag on the floor in between both of the circles and her bag ended up a few tables back before she noticed!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Oh and if you do decide to go, have the lentil soup as a starter! Because it's AMAZING! Not because it's the cheapest thing on the menu! :rotfl:Saved so far - £28,890.97

I would have no hesitation in picking up food in my hands to eat if I felt it necessary e.g. meat/chicken on a bone - I love gnawing on bones :rotfl: - burgers, shellfish, bruschetta, canap!s, chicken wings, corn cobs etc.
Some cultures in India and Africa eat everything with their hands, they never use cutlery. I don't see a problem with personally. Decent restaurants expect it and will place finger bowls on the table. I recently asked for a finger bowl in Frankie & Benny's and the best they could offer was an antiseptic wipe in a foil wrap. Most disappointing!0 -

I'd help anyone if they injured themselves etc, but that is one gash I ain't going near!
Seconded.
I've helped people if they've injured themselves but the thought would never cross my mind of helping with more "intimate" matters - yuk! As far as that is concerned - my limits lie at giving someone a tampon if they dont happen to have one on them (and they then go and deal with themselves as per normal).
Eating with hands is something that doesnt bother me per se - but I would only do it in correct cultural context (ie I've done so when eating the type of meals with Arabic people - as everyone else was doing so and I was generally reasonably au fait with their customs).0 -

Doesn't you refusing dessert spoil the meal for others as you can't join in the sugar high everyone else is enjoying ? How is that different to you claiming someone skipping the starter spoils the meal for you as you claimed upthread. Not having a go -just trying to understand as I took you to be saying that for you unless everyone fully participated it ruined the meal for you.
I'm another one who doesn't have a pudding.
If we're eating out with friends it tends to be Indian, Chinese or Turkish - none of which cuisine in our opinion lends itself to puddings so not having a pudding is a non-issue.
Eating out with OH - he doesn't eat puddings either so no issue there either.
If I'm eating out with my family (usually little sis & her 2 kids, sometimes Mum too - I always pay (more disposable income) & I'm usually finishing my bottle of wine off whilst encouraging the rest of them to have a pudding (or my sis to have a liqueur coffee which she loves (if she's not driving).
Not that they need much encouragement.

I think it is fairly icky, but 'skanky' is a very pejorative term and seemed inappropriate. Skanky implies more than just being beyond your (and my!) personal comfort zones. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
