So did I and that's how I answered it.
I agree, if someone is ill then thats very different from someone getting themself drunk and along the self.Georgiegirl256 wrote: »Helping someone in those ways when someone is ill is acceptable, and I'm sure for most people it goes without saying that they'd help wherever they could. I have to be honest, I'd find it hard because my retch level is seriously low. _pale_ But, I'd do it.
If someone is capeable of getting that drunk that they either lose control of their bowels and or can't wipe their own backside then they'll be left to their own devices I'm afraid. Thankfully it's something I've never had to encounter.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

But why would you answer:Torry_Quine wrote: »
I'm glad I don't have friends like you.
I can understand not wanting friends who get so drunk they need that kind of help but someone who's prepared to offer that help sounds like a pretty good friend to me.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
The really good friend would be the one who didn't let their friend get that drunk in the first place. If anyone I knew was in such a state I would ensure they were safe and that's it. Cant imagine it ever happening though. The comment was I'm glad not to have friends who get into such a state.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

If someone wants to get that drunk in the first place, There isn't much you can do to stop them. As a friend all you can do is pick up the pieces when your friend falls apart, But most of the people posting on here would ditch their friends just because they didn't order the right food and short changed you for £1 and took some food from their own husbands plate. Doesn't much sound like very strong friendships anyway tbh, So glad I'm not friends with most of you, I'd rather be with my 'skanky' friends any day of the week, At least they have your back and that long lost thing called loyalty :rotfl:Saved so far - £28,890.97

My loyalty to my friends doesn't mean condoning them getting drunk and incapable. I can think of no reason why anyone gets that drunk and wouldnt be staying around if someone was determined to.

True. I guess I'd just lose a bit of respect for someone who could get that mortal that they didn't know where their own backside was!
I've cleaned up after friends when they've hoy'd up, and vice versa. Luckily I've never known anyone need help toileting though....phew!0 -

Then your not really a good friend imo. You don't have to condone everything they do. I hardly ever drink these days but there have been a few times in my life that I've gotten so paralytic, I probably couldn't even tell you my own name.
I didn't go out meaning to get into that state, but sometimes things in life happen then to find out that someone is not my friend the next day because of it...Well, It was probably worth it tbh

Not in Indian Restaurants! Also, I do have an issue to pay £8 + for a soup (that often comes out of a can) and a piece of bread which I don't really care for, same with a fruit bowl that is made of the cheapest fruits but cost about 20 times what it would do at home!
That's an interesting point because indeed, the few times we do, I then always seem to have a shock at the cost of it all, because of course, we cater to their needs rather than ours. When friends invite us around, I still ask for my glass of water, and say no to dessert (but make an effort with starters!) but my friends know how I am so don't take offense, as they say, that's more chocolate cake for them! I normally have a decaf coffee though so I don't just stare at them as I do in restaurants.
If I go for a curry I normally just have a curry and a couple of side dishes and I don't drink wine with curry.
I love having people round for a meal as you can be really extravagant and treat them to nice stuff and you can do things like matching wines to different courses which would be too expensive to do in a restaurant.0 -
