WEEK 1 challenge-Your health to start each Friday (tomorrow!!!!)
Oops, I only just noticed that post after someone quoted it. Trees/wood
That is an excellent start of the month week 1 challenge. I don't want to loose weight (9st) but keep it and I am training for a triathlon. So want to be as fit and healthy as possible. I'm training 5 x a week during lunch but overcompensate atm in food so the weight is creeping up also because it's not necessarily all healthy food. Plus we're still boozing like it's christmas (apart from 4 weeks abstinence in Jan) and this will stop this weekend. And I need to get rid of the last wee stress/reward/fill gap ciggie. SO back to a healthy diet from tomorrow. Since I have a shower after the gym at work I now moisturise again which I never did at home and my skin is starting to improve already. At home with the kids round I never found the time. Might have a bubble bath this weekend, got loads of nice bath salts for xmas. Will also start the mindfulness training course in the book I've been reading.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
WEEK 1 challenge-Your health to start each Friday (tomorrow!!!!)
This weekend is spent in Liverpool with work so I'll have a few drinks and meals. Not a good start!
Eating habits can you do better?
- During the week...my breakfast will be homemade granola or poached eggs and toast. Lunch in the office will be a Herbalife shake accompanied with some fruit. Dinner will be something filling and healthy. My aim is to cut out the snacks I eat after dinner.
Exercise
- I'll aim to exercise at least 5 times this week. Either in the morning or evening.
Have a pamper session
- My GF would love it if I came home wanting to put a face mask on, I'll think about it.
Keep your mind active
- Work will do that for me. My aim here is to be super duper productive. Working in sales, I want to smash my budget!
LETS DO THIS!!!! :j0 -

Thanks calling, I really need this!
WEEK 1 challenge-Your health
In this section we get to grips with all those regular check ups we have been avoiding. e.g. Opticians, Dentists, Find out if you are due for any general screenings or vaccinations. Regular check ups are important could save your life. I am awful at this. I need a doctor's appointment to check out some changing moles and I haven't been to the dentist for years.
Eating habits can you do better? Vegetables/fruit are cheap at moment with supermarket wars. Aim to eat at least 5 a day. Cut out sugary foods, save money and have perfect looking skin. Have you enough Iron, minerals in your diet? I am going to eat 5 a day and I am not going to buy any sugary foods for myself (I have one pack of biscuits in the cupboard and that will have to last the month).
Exercise If you able join in I am aiming to walk at least 1hr a day, can't afford gyms, exercise classes. Do want you feel comfortable doing, we don't want wounded turtles clogging up the naughty step. I am going to go to an exercise class once a week and will do at least 11,000 steps a day.
Have a pamper session at home pay attention to those feet, exfoliate use all the xmas pressies up. Skin will be on show soon. Will definitely do this this weekend as I am off on holiday on Monday.
Keep your mind active, jigsaws, reading, quizzing, chatting to new people, join local interest groups, whatever works for you. I am going to read a book on holiday and do lots of Sudoku

Right! Let's do this April!
Budgets are set up, I'm another year older, the month ahead is planned and I'm raring to go.
WEEK 1 challenge-Your health to start each Friday (tomorrow!!!!)
In this section we get to grips with all those regular check ups we have been avoiding. I'm well on top of this apart from opticians. I have a doctor's appointment for blood test results next week
Eating habits can you do better Definitely. Food is fully restocked and I need to plan like mad while I have the time to do so.
Exercise I need to aim for 3 workouts a week plus 2 long walks.
Have a pamper session at home This is the one I'm less keen on - really not my thing but I'll try for something.
Keep your mind active crochet and reading. My mind is always active so that's what I do to relax. Not giving up

There is not much worse than waking up feeling hungover when you don't even drink. My head is banging this morning!
I've already been on YNAB and updated everything. Money is depressingly tight again but light at the end of the tunnel - dh is on his 3rd week back at work.
Nothing is going to derail me this month though. Onwards. Not giving up

Hello and Happy first April.
Woke up this morning to find the house at 10C. The heating broke last night. Hot water is fine and the boiler is fine so I think it's the pump or the thermostat. Phone our service cover and they'll send an engineer on Sat (would've come this afternoon but too short notice to take off). So wolly blankets tonight (and I thought it's spring, bloody freezing up here).
Not sure if today will be an SFD, might do the big Aldee shop tonight or tomorrow.
Actually definitely not an SFD today. Just ordered a book for FIL's birthday. It's quite rare-ish. It details the history of a part of Glasgow he grew up in.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
