Hi Bebby
Nice to have you here. Calling is our host this month and am sure she will be along later to a sign you a challenger number if you want one. Or you could just post and join in but not worry too much about the rules for this month if it's your first go?
What is your main aim financially?

Woke up this morning to find the house at 10C. The heating broke last night. Hot water is fine and the boiler is fine so I think it's the pump or the thermostat. Phone our service cover and they'll send an engineer on Sat (would've come this afternoon but too short notice to take off). So wolly blankets tonight (and I thought it's spring, bloody freezing up here).
Not sure if today will be an SFD, might do the big Aldee shop tonight or tomorrow.
Actually definitely not an SFD today. Just ordered a book for FIL's birthday. It's quite rare-ish. It details the history of a part of Glasgow he grew up in.
What a ball ache Thrifty sorry to hear about that. Hope they sort it out for you." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

polly Ha ha good one! I wish it were true for you, if you do see that bluebird send her my way
CCL sorry to hear about your headache but loving your attitude!
Right well on the first weekly challenge front. Health. Humm. ..
I am fit. I cycled right up to and including the day I went into labour with DD which let me tell you was an interesting experience. Was seeing my 7 year old home from school also on his bike and had to teach him that whenever mummy said 'stitch' we needed to stopit was the only thing I could think of that a child might understand.
In the last 6 months I have walked probably an average of 4 miles per day with the buggy as we don't have a car and I try to keep off the buses as much as I can because a) buses with a baby in London are rubbish. And b) the cost.
So that side is all good. I lost the 24 pounds I'd put on with her immediately so weight is fine.
But and the big but for me is that having had the appendix removal in Feb has really hit how 'well' I feel. I had to stop breast feeding her for the week I was in hospital due to the drugs. Then it took me a week or so to reestablish my supply having had literally nothing to eat for several days.
I know even now I don't always make the right choices nutritionally . And I drink too much tea and coffee and not enough water. So I think for me I need to focus on quality of calories eaten and maybe get some more vitamins?
I am behind on my smear due to the birth and the fact you can't have one for 3 months but DD is 6 months next week so I need to man up and do that. And I am behind on my dental check up too. I haven't had one since last summer. So I will get both of those done as part of this challenge.

Morning all. Budgets done for the month and boy it is really tight. I need to stay focussed so this challenge is just what I need.
I am not planning to spend any money today apart from what is already budgeted (carpet fitting, bed delivery charge).
Exercise - I have already been out for 30 mins with the dogs. Will go out again later.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Add me in please Calling. March was a right off for me. I need to write more lists. A day of planning ahead for me tomorrow.

Hi! I'm completely new, so not sure how this works, but could I join the challenge please?
Welcome Bebby_n I have given you a challengers number. Basically it is up to you:money: to set budgets for everything you may spend money on for the month e.g. food, petrol, aim for 20 spend free days SFD where nothing is spent at all. All your regular payments dd, mortgage payments, utilities etc are not included in these SFD. First month we will ease you into it. Helpful folk on here as I am not always around that much at weekends. Just ask if you have any questions.
Good luck.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Yes I'm in!
All over this like a car bonnet!
I've sorted out my money for the month, bought birthday presents for my friends children, stashed money away for next weeks Easter activities and planned how each penny will be spent.
I'm quite proud of myself for this because now it's just second nature to do this every month.
End of last month I had major problems with those little shops that add up so today I will be auditing the fridge, freezer and cupboards which is actually a favourite job of mine that I should do more often,, in order to recognise what we need and don't need! Thought becoming vegan would make this easier but I still have to buy sausages for the kids and milk and cheese!
So for me this is an area I really must improve on! Although I have paid for everything else this won't get me a car![STRIKE]497.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 286.34[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]182.00[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]180.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 130.00[/STRIKE] CC1 Paid!!:j

Well we are off the starting blocks.
Already having to re juggle my budgets. Friend who was going away for big birthday isn't now. grrr. So now have take her out tonight. Had already bought concert tickets for end of the month so not spending a lot hopefully, will pay out of my home budget, there goes my shiny worktop compost bin I wanted:(
Jazee - know how you feel very tight here as well. We can do it;)
Bob - true wonder woman laughing at image of you in labour riding a bike. Brilliant weight loss. I was watching tv, Life in Debt Valley it was on BBC Wales. It was serious programme, sad how people surviving on low wages, pawning what they had to get food but they had the best weight loss club ever. The leader was not exactly a role model(curvy but fun) and asking for recipes for Corn Beef. I was howling my head off. low fat? She did suggest fish dishes but they all came with creamy mash. My kind of club:rotfl:
As a spendy day
Ticket bought for gig next week 11 pounds
Supermarket wee shop later.
Exercise will get walking after work(even in the rain) feeling determined.
Appointment made opticians next week eye sight test overdue. Drinking lots of water, going to work on desk fruit mountain shortly and got lentil soup for lunch. Trying hard to be a role model:cool:

GSRcat your have been numbered. No escape now. Have to agree with you it's little bits of shopping that add up. I seem to be much better off with monthly online shop and just topping up on veg/fruit weekly.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220
