Morning all
I forgot to do my 2 things yesterday that made my day better.
One was that dh was well enough and keen to come with me to take ds to a kids party. And one was getting so much school work done and feeling like I wanted to do it.
Today is 'get-stressed-before-going-back-to-work' day :rotfl: I tried to get up early - managed earlier but not early enough... There are a few things I need to do today to get prepped for work in the morning. They are to sort out my clothes and bags, prep my lunches for the week ahead and make sure that the house is presentable enough for my mam coming over to look after the kids for a couple of hours tomorrow because they aren't back until Tuesday.
Hoping for a nsd. Fingers crossed...Not giving up

Morning turtles
I went for a very fast (for me) run yesterday morning and had clocked up 19k steps by bedtime
Yesterday we received confirmation that our mortgage application has been accepted and I had a little cry.:o After our previous financial problems I couldn't believe we would get the mortgage until I had seen it in black and white even though we are in reality a good risk for the money.
DH went for a hair cut and we wandered around the department stores looking for inspiration for new furnishings. DS had been taken on the train for a day out with DPIL so DH and I ended up in P1zza expr355 for our lunch/dinner as a 2nd celebration of DH job and finally realising we are going to move into our dream house so budge up on the naughty step everyone.:o
Also bought hair dye and some home magazines from my personal spends.
Plans for today are to walk the dog as the sun is shining, clear the washing and ironing piles and clean and tidy.
I cleared our airing cupboard yesterday and will tackle the biggest of the kitchen cupboards today as we have about 9 weeks to moving day and I only want to pay to move what I want to keep!
Things the make me happy:
Been accepted for our new mortgage
GF dough balls
Cuddles from DH
My hard working DH

Well done on the mortgage Spender. Hope you have many fantastic memories in the new place.
Bobarella, you luck so and so!
2 things I am grateful for;
- My friends, who I spent last night with having a laugh.
- Irn Bru. For helping to cure my mild hangover.0 -
Thanks all.
Xspender so pleased for you. Now you can take a breather.
Today has been great. Got ourselves to our friends without incident..it's around an hour on public transport so always good when buses arrive on time etc.
Had a lovely time there. They gave me a big bag of clothes for the baby that their kids had grown out of.
Stayed till 3.30 now heading back home.
Dinner is going to be a bit of a use it up meal. Cold meat, chips and salads.
And an NSD plus up £4

Another NSD here, giving me three in a row so far - yay!
Good eating is getting back on track as I am logging it all. Not in an online programme, just on a word doc, along with my exercise.
Exercise completed - zwow 43. Did it with 5k dumbells, so it was pretty hard work!
Hair is dyed, using half quantities, of course. It feels so much better - looks it too. Don't want to return to school looking too haggard, hey?
Hoping to get my steps back into 5 figures this week, as they have been pitifully low during the holidays. however, I have done a workout every day except for 2, so I reckon I can be pretty chuffed with that!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Huge congratulations on the mortgage Xspender

And well done with the £4 womble Bob - I am insanely jealous of that one.
Applemuncher I am completely embarrassed about how few steps I've done on a daily basis since I got my Fitbit. I thought I was reasonably active but apparently I'm a slug. :rotfl: I'm hoping that when I get back to school the step count will also go up.
NSD for me today - plus I've been out and done my tutoring, so a bit more cash to see me through until payday, which is still miles away. Things should be looking up a bit though, now dh is back at work I am a happy bunny. Long may that last.
Things that have made today better for me:
The sun has been out all day, which has really made me feel more like me again.
Plus I finally filled the hole in the door frame so we can all stop fretting about what can get into the house through a 3cm hole. :rotfl:Not giving up

I've spent most of the day in bed with a migraine but got up to go out for dinner with DH and the kids for his birthday. This does mean though that I haven't filled my car up with petrol so I will have to go tomorrow so no NSD tomorrow either.
So my 2 things for today are going out for a nice meal with my family and drying some washing on the line.
Hope everyone's well - I have read but not taken a lot in.
