Budge over, Calling - I'm on there too from my pretty garden insect stakes (and OH's purchase of sausage and chips for the teens) - I should warn you, my b*m's pretty big!
SFD today - took small 2 to a swimming party (youngest child of one of my cousin's) - free parking at venue too (in town centre, so was unsure). Smallest 2 obviously fed and OH and I munched on bits n pieces (my family always massively overcaters and my cousin is a good cook) so we didn't need any dinner tonight. Came home and no 1 was earing something from the freezer and I made no 2 pasta whilst he played with no 4 on the wii.
Today am thankful for - my (extended)family - had a good catch up with my cousin and my aunty, both of whom I get on really well with.
Friends - my oldest friend went out to a local mill to get flour and texted me to see if I wanted some, so she has bought a couple of sacks for me (nice flour, good prices, saves me a trip and a good reason to catch up with friend when she drops it off) - will pay when she brings it here, so SFD today still intact

I have now doubled my NSD count, up to a whopping ... 4. :j
Today I am grateful for dd enjoying her dance classes, for getting a cuff knitted, for the apple buds being really noticeable from the house, for a snuggly duvet, for a good book to read.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hi all
Back from hols last night. Not great weather but I do feel rested and like I've had a 'proper' break from work.
apple thank you for asking, my three legged one is much better thank you
Busy and spendy day today. Took car to the garage, walked across town to the hairdressers, walked back across town to the bus station and caught the bus home. Luckily a kind friend gave me a lift back to the garage and the cost for new brakes was reasonable. Was naughty and met sister for lunch, then did a food shop, exchanged currency back (will send leftover to the debt tomorrow), got petrol and then walked the dogs. Finished the day with some school work. No wonder I'm knackered, I only got in from the airport at midnight.
Hope you've all had a good week. I'm claiming 4 SFDs as apart from an apple juice at the airport last Monday, all other money was saved up for the holiday over the last few monthsLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Sorry to hear so many are feeling low or ill. It is definately not helping this chilly weather.
Personally I don't think any of the purchases are really bad ones. We all need little pick me ups from time to time..
Sitting watching an episode of Luther with tea and baklava. And blankets.
Welcome back from your holiday fmess sounds like a lovely time." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Thing is though are you blowing the budget? NSD work for some but not all. If you are personal on budget then less important.or that's my take anyway." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Yesterday ended up being a NSD as after much discussion me and OH decided there wasn't anything on at the cinema that we really wanted to see so saved our money and watched a DVD instead,
Today has been quite spendy - bought my tickets for travelling to the funeral plus did a supermarket shop. I've also been to the gym.
Onto this weeks challengeWeek 2 challenge – Audit time
Check energy deals, read meter make sure not overpaying/ underpaying Checked and am on the cheapest deal
Dry washing outside, avoid tumble driers, use heating sparingly, extra layers, jumpers. Don't have a garden or a tumble drier, never really have the heating on
Showers timed. Batch cook save gas/electric.Trying to get more into batch cooking
Can we buy food anywhere cheaper, switch to own brands Will try to shop more at Aldee
Petrol – check out online prices before buying in your local area. Check tyre pressures, drive economically as possible. Avoid short journeys WALK.No car so generally walk everywhere
Look at every outgoing you have, any contracts near the end? All contracts have a while to run but have noted in my diary when they are ending
Are you setting money aside for house maint, car repairs, dentist....Have various online savings accounts set up
Do you need to spend at all? Trying not to
Cancel and cut up any old credit cards Done
Lifestyle
Our behaviour/ focus on what’s important in our life, changes over the years.
Personally I don’t need expensive holidays, lots of nights out, flash cars, keep up with the Jones’s – not sure made me really happy anyway. Holidays did for the 2 weeks until I got home and credit card bill arrived.
Decide what is important to you.
Can you clear your debts/mortgage quickly and still have a life?
Are you just sat at home counting every penny afraid to live a little?
I try to strike a balance between having a life and paying debts
List 2 things a day (within reason;)) that made your day happier and more fun.
My 2 things for today are spending time with my gran and chatting to my family on the phone.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Morning All
Lovely sunny frosty morning here. Waking up with coffee & an episode of Every body loves Raymond.
Today should be an NSD as we are going round to friends for brunch. Taking some of the food we bought yesterday as a gift. Both of us have enough credit on our oyster cards so just water and snacks to pack.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning turtles...I lost my way a little while back and am one of those who buried their head in the sand, but I'd like to rejoin if you'll have me please?
I'll try to catch up on everyone's progress, but might be paddling along for a while...0 -
Morning everyone.
Having a lazy day today bit ironing and off to a gig tonight. Will be a Spendy day, meeting friend in wethers for cheap and cheerful tea beforehand. Budgeted for so feeling smug.
Dizzyblnd buying fruit never on naughty step for that. I agree with Bob SFDs are just to keep us in check it's the budgets that matter.
Fmess think it's just nice to escape from your usual lifestyle, glad your back, rested and raring to go lol.
I fancy few nights away, just been looking around the cotswolds. Worked out prices, then daughter wants me to have grandson sleepover same weekend. Choice is go next weekend but still bit chilly out, maybe Mid May inbetween banks hols better option.
Greent not going to look in aldi at your garden insects I might be tempted. My garden is my downfall with spending.
Popped into waitrose yesterday for milk, shocked at their prices. Not somewhere ever been and won't be shopping there!
Happy for
My lovely new plant pot
