Glad the orange biscakes turned out well, dancemum x

I have had 3 very active days with DGC.
Cookery school went well yesterday - all fingers and thumbs still in place :D DH was home so we took DGC out for a loooooong walk before lunch. DGD1+2 jumped in every puddle on the 1 mile route out, splashing anyone who wasn't paying attention and got too close, and DGD1 carried on jumping in them all the way back too - fortunately both girls were wearing wellies and all-in-one waterproofs! DGS1+2 ran up and down hills and laid stick trails for the rest of us to their heart's content. I did two loads of washing immediately we got home, before the mud had time to set
The afternoon was a bit of a disappointment as the garden railway had developed a fault which took DH over an hour to trace, so they never got to run the trains. But otherwise a brilliant day was had by all :)

Today we dropped DH off to do some training as a railway guide and I then took DGS1+2 to meet up with DGS3+4 and their mum at a NT property which has an enormous play field with big mounds of earth, tunnels, huge tree trunks etc which they had great fun climbing, as well as more traditional swings and slides which they completely ignored. Again, a great time was had by all. On the way home we called in at "my" NT property to see some of the wonderful art collection there. DGS2 (aged 6) spontaneously announced that he really liked a Matisse pen and ink portrait of a young girl (just a few squiggly lines, but with such character), whilst DGS1 (7½) went for a botanical painting of an enormous flower that looked as if it came from a dinosaur jungle. Yay!!! That's my boys!
Meanwhile DH brought himself and a head cold home by train and bus, saving us about half an hour's travelling :p

It looks like I shall be taking the boys back to London tomorrow on my own again :( If all goes to plan, we will wave to the Flylady world from the top of Tower Bridge before I deliver them to their mum. I must remember to pack a book to read on the way home, if I can manage not to fall asleep :rotfl:

Nothing else has been done except cooking and DW. Nothing will be done tomorrow, and DH and I are going cruising on Saturday, so that will end up as another non-flying day - and before you start assuming that we're getting all hoity toity and jetting off to the Med or the Caribbean with a celebrity chef onboard, we shall be deckhands in a flotilla of canal boats through some of the most delightful industrial scenery of the Black Country, grabbing the odd sarnie between jumping ship to wind the locks ;)

It's turning out to be a very nice week here (and not just the weather) :T

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all who need them x

    *waving from my snuggly bed*

Been up, dogs fed, DH's lunch made, coffee provided and now catching up on news.

I love clean sheets too Pigpen - when I rule the world, I'll insist on them daily too. And ironed socks, a fine porcelain tea cup and a daily massage. I can dream...

I sang my heart out yesterday Natty, much to Small's delight as he joined in and we pranced around the caravan together. Dancing Queen by ABBA. What a tune!

Orange flatcakes sound tasty dancemum. Sorry your boobie-squashing hurt :(

Skids arrive on an early afternoon train today, so must clear SS's bedroom of all laundry and ironing, so he can get to his bed tonight, poor lad.

    Morning all.

Still really tired and nothing is sticking so:
hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes, get well soon etc to all!
I'm working again today! The printer is low on ink so the only way to get it printing clearly is to do "best photo" quality which takes longer. There was also a lot of admin to do before I could start printing which didn't help.

Last day of term for DD today. She's staying out with her friends as a lot of them will be going away so she won't see them over the holidays. I've said depending on how I'm feeling, the weather and what they're planning on she needs to be home between 4-6pm but I'll set a time later. I also said that this once I don't want them coming round. I normally end up with at least one here but I'm not up to it today, I'm too tired and feel sick and don't have the patients to be dealing with teenagers vs Zack.

On the plus side DD's gifts are out for delivery today, they estimated Sunday. I can't wait to see her face when she opens them :D Now I just need to get her a card on Monday when I go to the bank. She's already got stacks of homework to do so she'll be home doing that while I run errands for work.

    Morning,

Last day of term here too. Thought I saw somethings in DD hair   so given her an emergency combing with the nitty gritty. How annoying. Off to get her prescription so I might get some lotion too just in case. Gah. Can't be taking her on hols all nitty :(
Told her to stop rubbing heads with other children...

Just combed mine too - since we had our heads together reading last night. Thankfully nothing

Right. Suppose I ought to crack on!

Have a nice day everyone xx

    Morning all
Not sure what I feel like doing today. Got sleeping teens on the settee they had a great time and all got back safely. They had some kind of meet and greet with the band before the show with pizza - the rock n roll lifestyle of kids these day eh. Came up in convo that they would miss most of the set due to having to be on last train, band had a word with management and because of the age appeal of the band and their target audience mostly being in need of that train or risking being stuck in brum till 5am at the station. The set was changed so the band came on before one of the support acts. Lol I'm wondering if one of the band members mums had something to do with that. It's the sort of string I'd pull to get kids home safe. I got told all of this at almost midnight when they poled in happy but bleary eyed last night They are all still happily snoring at the mo.

Wedding venue was lovely last night, we didn't go into the reception room as it was all set out for a wedding today but I had a nose through the window, and the grounds were beautiful. Had a drink in the attached pub which was also really nice.

Bin men have been, and garden bin was emptied so I can start filling that again.
Got to nip shops in a bit and sort ds2 out with a card for tomorrow, can't believe my baby is going to be 16! Missed a few March birthday so need to write a few letters by way of apology - stamps go up today I think

Hugs good wishes posi vibes sticks and spoons where needed.
Just heard wm beep so better get that hung out.

Hello all. Have had a quick skim read so hugs etc where needed.

Had a lovely day out yesterday but back to reality today. The house is in disarray so I can't get on with any flying. The patio door has been repaired this morning, a new fence is being fitted righ now and I'm waiting on carpet fitting (should be this morning) and a bed delivery this afternoon.

Dogs can't go out in garden currently, so I'll take the for another walk shortly.

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Back to sitting here doing not a lot. Dogs have had a second walk, fence not quite finished, carpet still not here, bed has arrived but nowhere for it to go.

So I've taken a couple of paracetamol.
