My day definitely didn't go to plan, I've been ill in bed all day and got nothing done. Got somebody coming round tomorrow to connect my outside light to a switch. Apparently the flat I'm renting has been built for about 15 years and the outside light has ever been connected to anything.

Morning all. Rubbish nights sleep at Yorkie Towers. Might as well give up and face the day.
Hugs to all having hard times, whether they be misbehaving dogs, husbands or very small babies. In the case of the husband he should try being you for a week, I doubt he'd still be complaining.
Bossy - I seem to remember being told that seven year old boys get a surge of testosterone. And yes I do seem to remember DS starting to whiff at that age. A couple of years later he was obsessed with hair gel. But he's 24 now and has turned out fine.... although the obsession with male grooming products still remains.
Quick trip out today to go with DD2 to her first appointment with the seamstress to take her wedding dress in.
Hope everyone has a good day today.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Thanks for the hugs ladies - yes the dogs are really trying my patience at the moment, but conditions are grim for them too, so have forgiven them. They did try a hen-house raid this morning, but DH saw and yelled at them, so they all returned with tails between their legs. I laughed at him running through the orchard, dressing gown flapping, in his slippers :rotfl: That will teach him not to shut the girls up of a night. Hahaha...Still laughing now!
Planned day out at Powis Castle today with small people. Meeting a friend there, so should be fun. Boys need to run off steam too. Wish I had enough hands to take the mutts as they'd love it, but no can do.
Big fat raspberries to Mr Frizzle - my DH used to say stuff like that too, until I left him in charge for a day. One day. When I suggested nursery for a morning for Tiny yesterday, he agreed with no argument :rotfl:
Piggers - have you got a body pillow you could take to make MiL's bed more comfy? You know - one of those long or V-shaped ones that you can bend to offer support to achy limbs, bumps or backs...
Anti-stinky vibes heading your way Bossy - I've got all that to look forward to with my two boysDSS was and still is shower-obsessed, so I think we got off lightly with him.
Love hearing about all the birds - I spotted a pair of wrens in my neighbours border yesterday - they're just so sweet (and tiny!). Sadly I saw a black and white moggy slinking along our driveway this morning - other neighbours are some way off, so not sure where he came from, but I let the dogs out to chase him off...0 -
Sunshine moment- ds1 brought me breakfast in bed this morning for the first time. He was so proud of himself!
OH apologised for his behaviour!
Little miss slept in her swing for an hour and a half in the evening and then went o sleep in her cot from 11-2. She then settled in bed with me with a little feed about half 5 so I feel almost human this morning!!!

Morning all! Hope you all have this bright sunshine!
I am just slurping a coffee in bed then shall be up.
Going to fly off piste because I want to clean my bedroom, possibly.
I also plan to move the bunny run before its occupied, the grass is short enough now!
I have two loads to peg out. I also gave an ironing pile that needs attention.
Decision, decisions.
Frizzle - hugs I used to get complaints like that. Goodness knows what they think goes on!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Hugs dizzy sorry life is treating you so badly
CY enjoy your dress fitting outing. But make sure whe. You get back home its feet up and lots of rest. We've been invited to go and look at the venue tonight so looking forward to that. Dd1 started a wedding board on pintrest mainly after the hair incident to cheer dd3 up she's foolishly allowed both me and her sisters to add pins so its filling rapidly some serious ideas but a fair few quirky injokes so anyone seeing it will think this is going to be a really weird wedding.
Ds2 is going to a concert later with his friends so need to make sure they all have the stay together, be careful, don't miss the train but if you do ring us talk. I'm a bundle of fun aren't I LOL.
Found a load more packs of seeds in a different drawer this morning so I think I. Set up for salad green and various vegetables for the next several years. Got to scrub out the big planters and find a source of grow bags and compost plus clear the kitchen windowsill to turn it into a propagating shelf.
Note to self do not buy any more seeds this year even if they are cheap!
Hugs good wishes and posi vibes to all

Morning all.I have also quartered the double bed sheets on the line and have fitted the last four items on now, and turned the bathsheet over to speed drying.
(My theory is that the tops halves dry faster because of the additional effect of gravity pulling the damp down to turning towels over speeds things up. Might be right - who cares?)
I also share that theory! I turn things around on my washing line all the time. Hoodies get pegged out by the bottom cuff being folded over the line so when it feels almost dry I unpeg it, and re-peg it in the same place from behind, or I'll even turn it over and peg it normally again. It all depends on how evenly its drying :rotfl: If I've got a lot of washing, or I've got a busy work day, I wash towels first and put them out with all flannels etc, then I do any clothes wash loads, the underwear/pyjamas go in the drier with the flannels and any almost dry towels and I peg the stuff that can be tumbledried out. When the TD has finished that load then I will grab any stuff that is almost dry and a couple of the drier towels again and put those in. I always leave jeans, hoodies that can be put in the drier and bath sheets out for as long as possible. Last load to be washed is always either the cleaning cloths or the dog stuff/floor mats none of which go through the drier. Unfortunately (?) DD has a LOT of clothes which can't go through the drier so my laundry day can turn into 3 or 4 days if I don't use the drier to finish a few things off.
CY - ((hugs)). Get those feet up and get resting!
Jazee - Enjoy your day out.
Dizzy - Massive hugs and calming vibes being sent your way.
Frizzle - I don't think some people realise just how much work and time goes into having a little one, even when they live under the same roof. My ex used to complain as I wouldn't go out to work when DD was small. I don't think he realised just how much I did around the house when she was in school and how much time I spent doing stuff with her when she was home. He complained even more when she started school full time! Maybe you should do like Dizzy did and leave him in charge for a day
Mrs MP - I give DD similar talks all the time :rotfl: Her friends think I'm a super cool mum (could be something to do with me being the youngest mum out of all of them :rotfl:) but know that I'm a worrier, and like to know EXACTLY whats going on. DD went to comic-con on a few weeks ago and got the same lecture from me for a good week before, both days she was there, and a couple of text reminders when she text me during the day/was heading home.
Still really tired, so for those I've missed:hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes, get well soon etc!I'm working again today
I have no idea where yesterday went, but 2 friends trying to talk me into bunking off work and going for a "quick coffee" in town with them probably didn't help. I stood firm said I had to work but I still didn't meet my self imposed deadline
Good job I didn't go though, their "quick coffee" turned into 3 hours :rotfl: So lots of work to do today, including going to make deliveries at school which I have to do as they break up tomorrow. However I've woken up full of cold, my torso is aching, my lower back feels like I've got a small child kicking it while wearing boots, and I am so tired its ridiculous. I'm still waiting for the extra-power painkillers I took nearly an hour ago to kick in
I have books to sort (DD can help me put those out when she gets in), and some deliveries to do tonight as well. Flying will have to wait again. Roll on Monday.....

Ooo it's lunchtime
Just hung some washing up to dry. Been this morning for hair chopping, I told her to just go wild with it  and she has, lol. I do like it but she had to really over-straighten it to get it all perfectly level, it will be a bit bouncier when I dry it myself.
Also going to gel my nails this afternoonooo shall I go all glittery? My nails are in quite a nice shape so I could do a bold colour
eeee im getting all excited now.
Did I mention I'm going on holiday? :rotfl:
Thanks for all the anti-stink vibes. DS just gets so hot, he does sweat quite a bit in bed. He's quite a clean child and loves his bath (with goggles) but just a sweaty betty. I aired his room, and used nice fresh bedding and replaced his mattress topper with a less cushy one. I think next month we might downgrade a few togs on his duvet. It's probably his head to be fair, he could have a clean pillowcase every couple of days - that should help!
I want to change my bedding today too, and get it washed and dried before we go.
Right, I'm going to browse my nail colours while I have a cuppa!
