:cool:Loving the peg talk! Yes, those multi hangers are brilliant for quick whipping in of washing also they can hang on a curtain rail thus 'finishing off' the drying;)
Lovely picture; lovely dress and I await, with bated breath, Grandmother's reaction to the dye...
Marmalade made; now cooling before potting. It would appear most of the jars in the cupboard are pickle jars (ie have been used for pickle or were 'savoury' jars IYSWIM) and are labelled with a 'p' but I also have a Really Useful Box full o jars in the cupboard under the stairs.
I have also quartered the double bed sheets on the line and have fitted the last four items on now, and turned the bathsheet over to speed drying.
(My theory is that the tops halves dry faster because of the additional effect of gravity pulling the damp down to turning towels over speeds things up. Might be right - who cares?)
My lunch will be veggie lasagne and salad.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli I'm almost tempted to take him gardening round hers just so I can see what happens, but I have too much I want to do here first LOL.
20 years ago I would probably have flipped myself but now I think it's their hair if they hate it it will grow out, they are just experimenting and as long as it's with hair colour and not drugs I'll let them be young and have fun.
I think he's almost disappointed that me and his dad are being quite laid back about it. Hes got a concert to go to tomorrow that why he's done it Plus it's Easter hols, luckily one of my last major votes before stepping down as a governor was to change the ban of non natural hair colours. Otherwise he'd be returning to school facing isolation till it grew outSPC~12 ot 124

I'm with you on this - it's a 'pick your battles' situation; it's hair, it will grow. And there are far worse things he (and indeed DD) could be messing about with...
Marmalade potted. Pondering what to do next. S'pose I could be all radical and look at the list...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Oh this is ideal. Not least because 'the kitten' (aged 5 lol) brought a teeny tiny field mouse in and it got under the fire (and re-invigorated the old cat, who 'helped':rotfl:) In the end I trapped it in a box and released it outside. So the living room it is, then - after lunch!

Me again. Done everything I intended to today and in the fifteen minutes before I pick DH up, I'm here having a cuppa and some chocolate.
When I get back I shall read the paper.
Won't be posting tomorrow as I'm out all day so have a great one everybody. 'See' you on Friday.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Have a lovely day out tomorrow jazee.
Well done on successful field mouse release Valli, hope the cats look suitably sorry with any mess they caused while they wAtch you tidy it up.
Right Dh fed and returned to work, I'm out in the garden shed now, need to find the fork. Daffs have been deadheaded and seeds scattered in back bed just need to do the bit behind the shed now and that needs a good dig over rather than just a how and weed.SPC~12 ot 124

Fridge de-iced and cleaned and my rage flung everything in the bin!
I rage cleaned the back room.. they had 7 minutes to move everything they wanted to keep and didn't, so I hoiked the lot in a binbag and out it went... OH almost died when he realised there was an Xbox controller and several books in there.. It is now cleaned and vacuumed.
DD2's boots have spent 3 days in the kitchen... *FLIIIIIIIIIING* they went down the garden.. in the rain..
DS2 and DS3 took 5 binbags to chazzer and 2 to DD1.. they have been gone 2 hours, I think they are hiding!
DD3 brought 3 huge baskets of washing down, opened her bedroom window and is packing for next week!
DW x2 done
Chicken cooked for dinner!

Tooth fairy carried out important duties later, as DGS1 had lost his 2nd baby tooth after brushing. Shocking inflation :eek:cyclingyorkie wrote: »Sorry for non-appearance in thread so far.
Jack Spaniel sends you a big slurpy kiss.I need to call Next re the sofa I ordered 8 months ago which is yet to turn up.. I really can't afford it but I could when I ordered it! I'm not sure what to do TBH.
Jack's been walked (made two new friends) so now I need to pry Mr LW out of his chair to crack on with book-sorting. If he thinks I'm doing this on my own, he has another think coming! :cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LR cleaned. Washing brought in - just as it began to rain! Socks draped over radiator to finish airing off when it comes on later. Leftover (and brown - ugh) salad from Sunday flung into compost. Pots/waste (for recycling) retrieved from DS's room. Waste/inedible food (ie left lying around - <rolls eyes> into green waste bin - I wouldn't have, normally but they are coming tomorrow to collect green and blue (recycling) bins and it is considerably less stressful (for me) to pick it up and deal with it than to [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] remind DS to shift it. Last of turkey is being made into soup along with soup lefover from Monday, all the carrots I can find, a handful of pearl barley (ugh to me but the Vallikids like it) and a couple of onions, a selection of dried herbs and some stock powder.
So much less clutter in fridge now.
Sofas swapped round because the sofa that broke a few years back, and was repaired on the insurance, has broken again. So the broken bit is in a less-sat-in-location, if that makes sense. This should make the pair of them last a bit longer, and I cannot afford to replace - so there you go!
Under-the-fire being checked by young cat. :rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
