Drove DD up to Huddersfield for house viewings. Then drove DS's GF home to find a road closed and every emergency service in attendance, been a fire. Then came home to argue with the kids that, given feline interest in the fireplace, something must have been under there. They looked and couldn't see anything, but Eventually a tiny mouse appeared. A good day. Lovely thank-you email from DS2 for the transcription. Good journey to London, met DD and DGS1+2 on time, excellent (though noisy) visit to the London Transport Museum, delicious lunch with well behaved boys, walked to Trafalgar Square, past the Grand Old Duke of York (cue singing and marching) and up to Piccadilly Circus, then a bus to the station and another easy journey home, playing a railway board game. DGS 2 (6yo) had a bit of a cry while I was getting tea, but he'd woken very early this morning and tea was late. A quick phone call to Mummy at bedtime and he fell asleep almost immediately his head touched the pillow.
Tooth fairy carried out important duties later, as DGS1 had lost his 2nd baby tooth after brushing. Shocking inflation
DH is happy because he got to model railway club this eveningand is driving 160 miles each way on Monday to pick up an exhibition layout that he's acquired somehow
DVD1+2 coming for the whole day tomorrow as well!!! Hope the weather is good enough for a walk to the soods. Pancakes for lunch, I think. CD1 and DDiL1 are joining us for tea. I shall get the DGC prepping veg and making pancake batter and jelly, plus a gooseberry cake which is DS's1's favourite. Many hands make light work, and hopefully all fingers will remain intact.
No time for proper flying! But might have to clean up the kitchen after cookery school finishes
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Hope your horse puddle visits are improving, CY x0 -
Ionafan that sounds like a lot of fun. Have a nice day today.
Frizzle hope you got some sleep last night. DS1 stayed at his cousins so probably kept SIL awake. Didnt hear a peep out of DS2.
Lynne hope you are feeling a bit better.
Stew made to go in sc, one load in on a quick wash, might finish in time to hang it out before I go to work (or put it over the airer). Both jobs today, will pop home in between to see DS2 and the dog. Gym class tonight too but I will do the basics at least!0 -
Morning all.
I've read the thread but nothing has stuck due to me being really tired sohugs, sticks, spoons, vibes, get well soon and enjoy vibes all round!I've already got a wash load in and I have 3 more to go. Priority today is to finish the work stuff I didn't do yesterday, then write newsletters (3 different ones) and sort books. I would also like to have a hot shower as I'm still feeling rough. I really hope I haven't caught my friends flu bug as ex-ILs are taking me and DD out for lunch on Sunday. Just realised I need to get DD's birthday gift ordered. Its going to go well with the one her dad has got her hopefully.

Well going to bed last night seems pretty pointless, I think I am more tired now than I was at bed time!!
Charity stuff IS leaving the house today, as is the stuff to go to tip and because I'm good like that.. The 2 binbags for DD1!! That will be 7 huge binbags out and a large box!
I bought a few summer bits for Squeak as I packed Dots bag mainly from her cupboard!! She has next to nothing left in there!! I got pixie a couple of dresses too.. With 50% off it would be rude not too..
Bossing others to tidy the back room is on the cards today and hoofing DD3 out of her pit to tidy the room too!! Main plan for me today is gardening I want to get the back sorted and more seeds put in and the faded daffs deadheaded.
Ds2 dyed his hair green/blue yesterday while I was out dress shopping with the girls. I'm thinking its a move towards solidarity with dd3 after the grandma incidentSPC~12 ot 124

Morning all!
4 lots of washing to go out...I am wondering if I'll have enough line and, if not, what to prioritise!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

If I'm short of pegs or line space I put socks and pants on the airing rack to save pegs and if the weathers changeable they are a faff to bring in fast, then I go for quick drying like cotton shirts and sheets or light polyester/nylon. The towels tend to take longer so I leave them till last.
