There's the truth for you.
Oh, btw, add up all the unionist party numbers
SNP 431, Tories 276 ? And this is a disaster for the SNP how exactly ? Labour down - 133, SNP -7. You and folks like Shaka are looking far too desperate for to see this as anything other than a good result for the SNP and a disaster for Labour.
The Tories garnered the unionist vote sure.. and they will in the GE. But will make very little difference indeed to the overall position going forward after June 8th. Sorry. And Dugdale has just been on the telly carping on about the SNP again instead of her own disaster and the Tories that took so many seats from her party. She's got to go, and soon if Scottish Labour are ever to come back.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Its 'too difficult' because its an oxymoron. "We hate being in the UK because we dont have control of our laws taxes and borders. We want to be in the EU so that, errm...."
Humpty, once you are a member of the EU, you are no longer, by definition, "fully independent". You have traded your full independence for the perceived benefits. I have no issue with that.
But to then pretend you are fully independent, is disengenous at best.
To repeat myself, but this time ask for an actual answer, how can you be "fully independent"when you do not have full control of your borders, your tax, or your laws ?0 -

The SNP may be in control because the "indy" vote primarily backs the SNP, but the union vote is split. Combined they dwarf the SNP.
Translate that to a binary referendum option.
Bummer eh?
I guess there's just not enough stupid people in Scotland, you should be proud. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

So France, Germany, Spain, Malta and all the other countries who are members of the EU aren't independent countries... riiiiiiiiiiight.. Moving on.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

I know it is not a true reflection but it does give some pointers to where the SNP are (I will be interested to see the popular vote).
They have taken only 35% of the council seats that is not an endorsement for indyref2.
But let's see what the share of the popular vote is, I bet it is not a million miles away from 35%.
indyref2 is dead in the water and the final nail will come in June.
Edit:- I suspect we can't really generate a popular vote figure with the SVT system0 -

The UK is fully independent. She agrees to pool sovereignty in certain matters. It's disingenuous to suggest the UK isn't fully independent as a result because parliament remains sovereign and can decide tomorrow to withdraw from these agreements.
Scotland could be fully independent as an EU member but what the SNP are saying is they'd prefer to pool sovereignty with the EU rather than the UK. When you see it in those terms it becomes clearer what they're about i.e. Brexit is a made up reason for independence and if it wasn't Brexit they'd have another 'compelling' reason why Scotland should be independent.
The polls indicate Scots aren't buying it0 -
