Residents of a Paisley housing scheme have hit back after official statistics rated it the most deprived community in Scotland.

They claimed the Scottish government figures did not paint a "true picture" of Ferguslie Park.

It followed the publication of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD), which rates 7,000 communities by factors including health and income.

Some of us work, have commitments and in my case also a panicking 15 year old about to take his first National 5 exam ( Maths ) which seemed somehow more important.

Council elections. STV.. SNP seem to be holding steady. I don't confess to understand how STV works but its quite obvious what's happening ( at this point in time ). +30, -30.. Oh dear Labour..

South Ayrshire ? I think you need to do a little research on that particular area. There's always been a strong Tory vote there.

The SNP are not taking a beating in these elections.

Labour are being ditched in favour of Conservatives is the general picture.

I need to read up more on the council election rules, as each ward appears to be set up so that there is a split of representation.

It's not very reflective of what the GE will be
