    You don't half talk rubbish.

    It's called Trolling.

You know, after being exposed to this thread for so long I'd almost become immune to the hate, lies, misinformation that goes on.

I didn't think for a minute someone new could come along and make the thread even more toxic.

Ah well, can't be right about everything; at least I'm right about Independence. :)

Agreed, it could, but the SNP wants it to be a vassal state of the EU which doesn't equate in any way with "independent" or "standing on its own". The very opposite in fact.

    Hey come on!!

This thread is a logic free zone, don't you know? :)

There is a growing consensus that the majority would prefer to be independent in Europe rather than Conservative led in the UK

Well that is a contradiction isn't it?

No one to blame but yourselves for the mess you find yourself in now. You might like to blame others such as Westminster but it's simply not true. The idiots amongst you who vote the for SNP are only interested in one thing, independence, at the expense of the here and now and the short and medium term future of Scotland. Destitution will be the order of the day. High unemployment, buckling welfare, health and education. I suppose you can always ask the Greeks how they dug themselves out of a ~10% deficit.

I do hope everyone has all got their 'BetterTogether phrases and soundbites 2011-2014' Bingo cards out. We seem to have a full house here. My dabber pen could hardly keep up.

I'm an idiot who voted till I boaked today SNP 1 + 2, Greens 3, SSP 4, Labour 5 + 6... and the candidate for the Ruth Davidson vote for me cos I think council elections should be about referendums rather than local issues Party... I had great pleasure in placing last. At least the other parties had a vague stab at addressing local issues in their leaflets. The three from the Conservatives all had an angry clench-jawed Ruth wagging her finger at me.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Both have gained advantage while being members of the EU. Unsurprisingly "things" happen for a reason. Inference that anyone can copy is therefore remote. As the same opportunities no longer exist.

:sigh:Having a difference of opinion is not trolling, it's debating.
One could argue that you are fishing for a bite and therefor the troll.

That is her intention - paint the rest of the UK as the big bad bogeyman so as to make independence look palatable, after all if the UK was made to look as wonderful as it is in Scotland she would not be able to get all the lemmings to leap off the cliff to follow her would she.

If she actually was helpful and constructive and actually tried to be helpful to the rest of the UK she would not achieve her dream of being president of the eu.

When all you know is how to play the victim it's very difficult to try anything different.

And playing the victim while you're supposed to be running things is about as short term a tactic as you can do. Soon we'll see if the scots have twigged and that short term is coming to an end.

Shaka was apparently looking through ISTL's posts looking for something profound and witty to say.

Every single member of the EU is an independent country by virtue of having their own Govt and constitution. France, Spain, Germany and Malta included. So it's not a contradiction to say 'independent in the EU'. Every single country in it is.

Don't you think this is a little rich considering Theresa May is currently auditioning for the Dying Swan in Act 1 of the Brexit production ?

Planning to walk out in a contrived huff do you think ?
